The Consort of Prince Rui was both amused and annoyed.
She thought of the concubines in Prince Rui Residence, and then of the hardship she endured carrying this child; the Consort of Prince Rui suddenly felt angry, "Prince, the child is still so small! Do you think he, like his father, knows only to pull at a woman's clothes?"
The Consort of Prince Rui's coquettish complaints mixed with shyness, making Prince Rui's face immediately tense up.
"Ruirui, what are you talking about? You know about the concubines in the residence, don't you? Some were bestowed by my great ancestors, others given by my mother. Can I really refuse them?" What Prince Rui said was true; he could not refuse those concubines, but no one could force Prince Rui to do anything with them, could they?
Yet Prince Rui had eventually favored each and every one of those concubines, and it was of his own volition, which was one reason why the Consort of Prince Rui was somewhat angry with Prince Rui.
