As he carefully tugged Yumi to her feet, he looked in the distance, where a white building stood.
"A location summon?" he asked.
"Yeah, probably," Jessica nodded, coming to them, her blue rifle on her shoulder. "Might be good for guerilla tactics training. Do you know how to fight in urban conditions?"
"We have a few army trainers among us," CaoCao nodded. "We had the drills - but the Supernaturals don't usually do such combat, preferring to duel each other, so…"
"Then, guerilla training is even more important," the Feline said. "If they get all killed without you even showing up, it's better than risking people's life, right?"
The Chinese teen frowned.
"My True Longinus is the strongest Sacred Gear," he disagreed. "I can defeat any inhuman creature if I wanted to."
"But what if THEY use such tactics?" the sniper changed tracks. "Shouldn't you teach your people how to not get slaughtered in closed space?"
"...she is right," Georg came closer. "This is a great point. While most Supernaturals are too arrogant to do this, there are always the likes of Satan Beelzebub, famed for their tactics."
The leader of Hero Faction frowned, thinking about the new idea. From the distance, the clanging of swords, gunshots and explosions could be heard, Arthur teaching Sakura how to use a blade, Ruby sparring with Jeanne, and Izayoi bouncing Heracles like a ball.
"I suppose," he finally nodded. "What do you suggest, sniper?"

The Bloodletter hid, a foreign to him emotion of fear overpowering the usual for it bloodthirst and rage.
It could feel its kin being picked off one-by one, their voices silenced with contemptible ease, starting with the Bloodthirsters and other stronger daemons, and now going down, soon to reach his level of power. What kind of existence could destroy so many Daemons, so fast, it wondered, and prayed to the silent Khorne for glorious death. What kind of existence could traverse the cosmos so fast and so easily?
Futilely, it wondered how to avoid the imminent death, how to negotiate, to plead, to grovel. Surely there was something, anything it could do?
And then, it felt an Infinity of Stillness appear behind, and lashed out.
"Noisy," the human-child-looking thing spoke and casually erased the Bloodletter.
Ophis wondered if she should erase the source of the cracking noise, and then it simply stopped, so she started to wonder if that noisy thing died by itself. However there were still new discordant notes appearing, so she concluded that the cracking thing found a way to silence itself.
She should take a look, the Ouroboros thought, teleporting to another noisy thing. If it could silence itself, maybe it could give her silence.
She looked down at the cowering thing underneath her foot, and frowned. Her clothes were completely shredded, and people had all those weird things like 'modesty', meaning she needed new clothes.
Erasing the latest noisy thing, she decided it was enough for now, and that she could visit the Hero Faction, at whose place she felt the newest things appear.As Yumi's party were paired off with the leaders of the Hero Faction, the summoner herself was left with CaoCao.
"Let's start," the Leader of Hero Faction nodded, holding out his Sacred Gear.

In the Hero Faction's HQ's meeting room, Batman brooded. Having insisted on a change of clothes for the young girl-looking leader of Khaos Brigade, Damian himself refused to switch to civilian clothes, ready to escape at the drop of a hat.
The present Leader of Hero Faction, his summoner and her best friend as well as Ouroboros Dragon were talking over some tea with pasties. Having handed off Cure Priestess to the rest of the Heroes' leadership to show her the world, CaoCao decided to hash out the agreement between the so-called Masquerade Breaker Team and the rest of the Hero Faction.
He needed to see the situation in this world for himself, badly. From what the teens - all of the Hero Faction leadership were children, powerful yet green - told him, this world had the humans in an unfavorable position, and they sought to change that. For that, they worked with essentially villains, which was already worrying, but also there were undertones of not reaching equality but flipping the status quo instead, which was… worrying.
He considered going solo, but his conscience reared its head, telling him that, without his counsel, these kids would go down a very dark path.
"So, I eat the snake," the brown-haired summoner girl, Soma Yumi, asked, considering a black reptile in her hand with clear apprehension in her brown eyes, "and gain more control over my power?"
"Yes," CaoCao, the leader of Hero Faction, nodded.
The serpent in her hand writhed, and Damian suppressed a shudder. Another worrying sign, as power dopings never ended well.

"So, going to try to summon something else?" Jin asked in Japanese. "Just in case."

"I'll have Behemoth with me," she replied. "There are very few things that can counter both of us. We'll be fine."

As the Head of Foreign Affairs and her Rook teleported to above the Russian city, she noticed the supernaturals and mundanes both cooperating, getting the panicking mushroom people back to human forms. It warmed her heart to see everyone work together…
…and then she had to push her power out, to avoid being transported somewhere.
"Lady Serafall!" Behemoth rumbled, shrugging off the attempt too. "Hostiles incoming!"
And then - clapping.
"I suppose you wouldn't be a Satan if you could have been caught so easily," a chinese teen with a spear - True Longinus, she realized with growing horror - smiled at her. "Well, I suppose this means that we'll have to fight you head-on. Masquerade Breakers, take the other one."
"Understood," a red-haired girl in a mecha Magical Girl attire - Serafall had to suppress a squee - nodded, brandishing an energy blade, and then rammed into her Rook, sending him flying far away from their initial position.
Hordes of flying monsters appeared, ablaze in dark flames, and she idly wondered if these people also had Annihilation Maker, then flash-froze into diamond dust the nearest attacking things.
Right. Gather intel about these Longinus Holders, meaning not freezing them to death immediately. And maybe recruit that Magical Girl to her Peerage!
Course of action determined, she then flew up and away from the busy streets, shooting the freeze-dust spells at the Annihilation Maker monsters.

On the way to the battle, she realized she forgot the solid gold hoe in the local's apartment… then decided that he deserved to get that thing, for the trouble they gave him.
She should get some summons out, she decided, watching the demonic-looking things shatter into harmless ice dust overhead…

Reaching the required floor, she hurried to the room her Skill indicated. Inside, Jessica was with her blue rifle, shooting at the brown monstrosity in the sky.
"Jessica!" Yumi exclaimed, closing the door behind her. "I'm here!"
"Commander," the sniper acknowledged her, not stopping shooting at the flying enemy(?). "I'll call this in, and then we'll exfiltrate."
The Feline then dropped her hand and withdrew a piece of paper with a circle, which she tore in half. As soon as she did that, Georg appeared.
"Ah," he nodded. "Lady Soma, take my hand. I'll get everyone to retreat."
"We need to get my new summon, Jin, out too," the brunette told him. "The blonde guy in blue, he knows Izayoi."
"Of course," the magician nodded, opening a portal. "Let's go."

Ochre Diego was a researcher from Atlas. He originally wanted to be a Huntsman, but, upon unlocking his Semblance, he was… convinced… to change tracks and go into research. He wasn't too mad about that, he got to see a lot of new things, but being confined to Atlas still chaffed.
Therefore, he jumped at the chance to see the Kingdom of Vale, and the strange giant humanoid not-robot that appeared one day on the street in broad daylight.
Stepping away from the Bullhead, surrounded by the brightest of Atlas researchers, the feeling of being out of place was overpowered by wonder, by fascination. Despite his childhood dreams, he never left Atlas, and so this was a small taste of freedom.
"Diego, my boy," Pietro Poledina addressed him, and the ochre-haired researcher stood at attention. "You seem distracted. Is something wrong?"
"No, no," he waved his hands. "Just, enjoying the scenery, Doctor."
"Vale is beautiful, is it not?" The wheelchair-bound inventor nodded. "I hope my daughter enjoys it as much as you do."
His Semblance being what it is, Ochre was in-the-know about Penny Poledina's secret - not that it made any difference to him. She was a person, and therefore deserved all rights of one.
Loading into the bus, the scientists reviewed the data they had on the giant for the last time: the robot, now discovered to be some sort of a giant cyborg made of almost-human flesh, appeared in the Residential Area next to the temporary housing facility at 10:14AM, inactive. After the access to it was sealed off, the Valean Scientists tried to access the electronics in it, but were stumped by complete lack of Dust Circuitry used, and so they asked other Kingdoms for aid.
Hence, Ochre finally being allowed out of Atlas.
"Almost there," Wheat Stalker, their guard and driver, said, getting them through a guard post.
Diego tried to catch a glimpse of the giant, but saw only an enormous tarp over a cubic cage. Oh well.
The Atlas delegation exited the bus, and were escorted inside the hastily-erected cage, most of them gasping in surprise as they beheld the cyborg in real life, Ochre not being an exception. There was… a presence to the giant, some sort of pressure that made his heart race, and he desperately wished the time to use his Semblance in it came as soon as possible.
"Greetings," the Headmaster of Beacon shook hands with Pietro, then fixed his glasses. "I hope the trip here was comfortable. Let's not waste anymore time and get this done. Who is the Psychometry Semblance user?"
"Researcher Assistant Ochre Diego," Doctor Poledina turned to him. "He can hear the 'voices' of the things he touches with his bare hands. It can work on people, but only if they consent."
"I see," the Headmaster nodded, then shook Diego's gloved hand. "Let's begin, then."
As Ochre touched the bare flesh of the giant, his senses abruptly failed him, as if he got teleported to a dark, underwater room. He tried to hold his breath but soon realized that he did not need oxygen at all…
"H-hello?" he shouted into the void. "Anybody here?"
And then, a giant green eye opened in front of him. If he could, he would've shat himself.
"RRRRRRR."
"Eeeek," he whimpered, as the eye focused on him.
"Hello there," came from behind him, and he, despite all his instincts telling him not to, turned his back to the eye, coming face-to-face with a woman in a lab coat. "Who are you, child of the Fruit of Knowledge?"
"M-my name is Ochre Diego," he stammered, and the brown-haired woman smiled warmly. "I'm a researcher from Atlas… and you?"
"I am Yui Ikari," she introduced herself. "The creator and chain upon this man-made God, the tombstone of our civilization. Tell me, researcher - did you find Unit-01 in space? Did you want to learn of the civilization that made it?"
"Um," he looked at her carefully. "It got teleported to the streets of Vale?"
She frowned, red overtaking the brown in her eyes.
"How particular. No matter - you're here, and that's what is important. You are not a child of mine, and thus I will not accept you as the Pilot, but… I could let you get back."
"Wait - what do you mean, 'back'?"
"Ah, so you don't know yet," her face expressed pity. "By arranging a Contact Experiment, you forfeited your physical body and became a soul, which Unit-01 absorbed. I could give you a new body, but it shall be a Lilin one, of my species."
"W-what?! What do you mean?!" Ochre panicked.
