Tightening his grip on the double-edged sword, his gaze became more resolute. He began to draw on the vast power within his body, using it to counter the oppressive aura, in an attempt to neutralize the effect this invisible force was having on him.
He had been sealed for far too long. Forty thousand years of unbroken darkness had almost driven his will to the brink of collapse.
