Hearing the end-of-work bell ring, Zhang Yu immediately packed up and prepared to leave.
Actually, everyone else was pretty much the same speed, needing to go back to buy groceries and cook; then there was housework and whatnot—it was truly a rush.
Zhang Yu was of course also in a rush. Little Yu had eagerly volunteered that she would go to the market to buy vegetables today. Who knows what good things were left when she got out of school in the afternoon.
Unfortunately, they had no choice. With one being a student and the other a working adult, they could only buy what was available.
"We really need to fence in the yard, even just growing some small greens would do."
There was no need to fear someone stealing the vegetables; it wasn't as if their house had never grown veggies in the yard before, but they never got to eat a single bite of them.
