Levi's tentacles remained hissy, but longer and fatter. There were six now, all hissing and gnawing at the figure that had staggered into the dark, burning site. Levi knew who it was already, but taking a good turn would be the best way to acknowledge them and what they were about to do.
Levi turned, his purple reflection visible on any reflective metal surface. He stood like an unwavering monument as energy danced all around him—energy capable of wiping out a whole civilization. His eyes locked onto Jamie Greyson, who stood a fearful distance away, clutching Paige in her arms.
Levi's expression remained neutral as he skimmed Jamie. She had a blade of blood to Paige's throat with one hand, while her other hand had just let go of Box, whom she had been dragging, to grip Paige tightly by her waist. Jamie's eyes were blood-red, and it seemed like they were bleeding, trailing down her cheek. Some of her tattered hair stuck to it, while some strands simply yielded to the calm breeze.
