XANDER
While Xander knew and was well aware that her mother bonded to her dragon, Andal—Astrid's mother, from one of her royal visits to the West, he hadn't been aware that she had come all the way here.
But then again, five year old him had never had much time to spend with his mother so the lack of knowledge wasn't that surprising. Most of his knowledge of the lady had been gotten from his uncle who hadn't spent much time with her.
"Lady Lenklock once came all the way here?" Xander repeated.
"Indeed. The princess was a gem amongst many. Her grace naturally went before her. There's no way I can forget her, nor her dragon Andal."
Xander nodded grimly. If the elderly woman knew the name of his late mother's dragon, then she must be telling the truth.
Xander had secretly thought that upon Astrid's death, Andal would have come back. There had never been any solid evidence of a dragon mother mourning their child, but Xander had held onto the fantasy.
