Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

The wagon in which our protagonist is locked rattled faintly.

Though the rising sun bathed the world in soft light, an eerie silence hung around the forest path. Inside the wagon, the mood was anything but calm. All the beasts trapped alongside the boy cowered, their bodies trembling with primal fear. Seeing them frightened from something, Soo-woon furrowed his brows, eyes darting between the frightened creatures.

"Hmm? From the way all these beasts are reacting, I don't think the situation is so simple. I need to quickly figure out a way to get out of this mess."

Suddenly, the curtain covering the wagon's entrance stirred, not from the breeze—but from something pushing through. A large, white paw with razor-sharp claws emerged slowly, piercing the tense stillness.

Soo-woon's gaze snapped to it. His eyes followed from the bloodstained claws upward, until he saw it—the enormous form of a white wolf stepping into the wagon.

Its crimson-stained muzzle twitched as it growled lowly, its breath thick with the stench of blood. The beast turned to the nearest cages, its eyes glowing faintly. Then, with a sudden pounce, it began ripping the cages apart and devouring the terrified beasts inside.

Soo-woon's breath hitched. He could only watch in horror as the massacre unfolded a few feet away. Blood sprayed. Screams of the trapped animals echoed. Metal bent under brute strength.

"What the hell is going on…?" he thought, face pale with fear.

"Am I going to die... without even understanding what's happening to me?"

As the wolf continued its slaughter, its blood-soaked form drew closer to Soo-woon's cage. Paralyzed, he squeezed his eyes shut, bracing for death.

But then—

"Whaaaaaat…? No, how is this possible!?"

An unfamiliar voice boomed inside his head.

Soo-woon's eyes shot open.

"Huh?"

His surroundings had changed. The wagon, the blood, the wolf—they were all gone. He now stood in a vast, featureless white space. No ground. No sky. Just a blinding emptiness that stretched endlessly in all directions.

Still disoriented, Soo-woon spun around, trying to make sense of where he was.

Then—he heard it again. The voice. This time from behind.

Thick smoke suddenly rolled in, and from within the haze emerged an elderly man, waving his arms frantically as he ran toward him.

"How did this happen!?""This has to be some kind of mistake!""What am I supposed to do now!?"

"Aaaaaaahhhh!"

Before Soo-woon could react, the old man was right in front of him, grabbing his shoulders and shaking him violently. His rapid questioning blurred into nonsense as Soo-woon's vision bounced from the motion.

"Enough!"

The protagonist grabs the old man's hands and somehow frees himself from his clutches.

"Calm down old man, who in the world even are you?"

"And what is this place?"

The old man finally composed himself. He shut one eye, examined Soo-woon with the other, and stroked his long beard with one hand. With a cough, he tried to restore some dignity.

"Ahem, ahem! My apologies for the… outburst."

Soo-woon sighed in relief.

"Well then, let's start over."

Old man holds his staff from his right hand and slams it's lower end to the ground while stroking his beard from his left hand.

"For starters, let me introduce myself."

"I am someone who, in your world, you may refer to me by the term—God."

Soo-woon with a {no surprise their} look on his face.

"Ooo."

"Who oversees this planet you were on just a moment ago, "Eldia" ."(g)-(god)

Soo-woon with a face that tells not-interested

"Uh-huh!"(p)-(protagonist)

"It's a world in which magic exists, filled with different fantasy races like elves, dragons, monsters, and what not..."(g)

"Uh-huh!"(p)

The old man stole a glance at Soo-woon, expecting awe or excitement. Instead, he found mild disinterest. His shoulders sagged slightly.

Old man takes a sigh and asks the protagonist in a bit more friendly tone

"I understand it must be hard to accept what's going on right now but please try to bear with me. You might be missing your old life, but it can't be helped anymore since you soul has already bound with your new body so you won't be able to go back to your previous life anymore."(g)

Soo-woon let out a long sigh

"I already guessed that much."(p)

"To think I would transmigrate into another world. Stuck in a 10-year-old's body no less. And what's worse is that I woke up in a cage, as if that wasn't enough I am about to die by a damn wolf monster."(p)

While sighing he looks at old man

"So what now?"(p)

Old man becomes a bit hesitant from finding the situation becoming awkward.

"Well... for you to be able to live and survive in this world, I have prepared this transmigrator pack for you which will help you to survive in this world."(g)

With a wave of his hand, a small ornate box appeared before Soo-woon. His expression softened slightly at the sight of it.

Encouraged by the change in mood, the old man gently handed over the box.
