When we arrived in the Hub, a blade was at my throat, more specifically half a blade was at my throat. The other half flipping before landing in the stone floor.
Also, Uriel had three angels with their blades at her throat.
My hand was above, having both broken the blade, and told the trio not to kill automatically.
"Hello Uriel."
"How?"
"How am I? Oh, I'm doing quite well."
"How did you find Eden? The lord said it was destroyed."
"It was hidden under Hell."
Her eyes widened.
"How?"
"Beats me how it got there, but I just made Milel a body, then badabing badaboom Eden."
"I see… I apologize for attacking you, I let emotion get the better of myself."
"You're good. Let her go."
"Yes, mam."
All three sheathed their blades.
Me and Uriel curtsied, then she walked past me before warping to Heaven.
"Nice, lady."
"She is of the nicest, but she is also the most emotional of the current archangels."
"Hm. Cool."
Then Milel looked at me.
"By the way, where could I get that new grace."
I smirk.
"Follow me."
Milel still minorly hobbled due to being unfamiliar to her body.
"Hey, Rose, who's the angel?"
Jalad walked up.
"This is Milel, she's an Archangel that swore loyalty to me."
"Oh… so that's Milel…"
"What?"
"Gabriel said she was kinda… you know."
Then Milel smirked.
"Crazy? Yeah, my little brother always thought me a bit eccentric."
"Oh, so you're not?"
"Oh no, I am crazy, just a bit less than he likely expected."
"I'm bringing her to the guild."
"Cool."
He walked off and we proceeded to the guild.
_
"Okay, so, how will this work with someone already possessing grace?"
"…"
"You don't know do you?"
"I hadn't thought that it would be any different."
Milel sighed as I blushed.
"Well, I guess we should test."
She grabbed the glass with the new grace and drank it.
Then in front of me, 20 system windows opened, filled with errors.
"Oh crap."
I began checking the errors, but then they began clearing.
Then none were left.
"That's good."
Then a tendril of light impaled me, causing me to cough out blood.
Then I realized the truth. The grace that the Ruler gave them was a parasite, it ate away at them and kept their strength lower. That's why Asmodeus and Hades became so much stronger after receiving a proper grace, because they were restored to their true power.
The Ruler's grace tried reinputting itself in Milel, but I seized it, causing it to writhe and wriggle. Then it went black and disintegrated.
I stood and gave her the blessing.
Then Milel began to shake, her wings turned into metal. A crown of golden fire appeared on her head. Her sword became part of her wings, and her eyes now shone gold.
"Milel."
"Yeah?"
"You okay?"
"Yes… my mental state is fully restored. Thank you."
"No problem."
"If you wish, I can call the remnants of my faction for you to turn into this."
"Sure."
Then the rest of the day was spent turning 100 angels into Valkyries and Berserkers.
_
I shakily got up and walked into the guild where Milel was talking with the last two of her commanders.
"Hey Milel."
"Hello, Rose."
"Hello, Daila, Riola."
"Hello, Ms. Rose."
I passed them and said hello to some other guys before finally sitting at the bar.
"Hello, Rose."
"Hello, Silas."
"Your usual, I presume?"
"Yes, please."
"Hey, Rose!"
"Hello, Darsen."
"What has you that down, man?"
"Blessing 100 angels one after another is tiring."
"Heh, I'd imagine."
Some of the new Valkyries were looking at Darsen in confusion.
"Though they are kind of interesting to have around."
"Indeed, they are… but they do look at me oddly whenever I chat with you."
"Probably confused why highly me is talking with lowly you~… *snrk*"
Both of us burst out laughing.
"Pardon me, mam."
"Ahh… yes?"
"Why is our esteemed leader talking with a lowly wolf."
"HOLY CRAP, Rose. You were right."
We burst into laughter again, drawing another confused look from the Valkyries.
The Valkyrie that asked, returned to her table and shrugged, making us laugh harder,
_
"So, they are… friends?"
"Yes, Darsen and Rose have been close friends for a long time, honestly, when she picks her commanders, I fully expect him to be one."
"He would be a rather weak commander. He doesn't even have a unique."
"He did have one, but he removed it."
"Why?!"
That got Milel's attention. She came to me, asking about Darsen.
"It… was a bad one, it gave power at the cost of… eating people."
"…Oh…."
"Yeah, Rose actually developed it as a precursor to FEAR, and it faded, but Darsen didn't have any way to do that, so, sick of it, he got Luma to erase the skill from him."
"I see, either way, he shouldn't be a commander, all he'd do is get in the way."
"Au contraire."
"What?"
"Darsen may lack the firepower a lot of the stronger of us do, but he makes up for it with his brains."
"What do you mean?"
"I've seen below that laughing exterior before, he's quite similar to Rose, calculated and precise. In fact…
"In fact, what?"
"He may just be smarter than Rose."
