|3rd POV|
Melisandre kneels in front of a massive fire in the middle of the Grand Temple of Lunaria and prays. She prays to her lord to give her guidance, and her lord answers her prayer. When she opens her eyes, she sees a vision of the possible future.
It is a possible future where Her King allows the Alchemist to enter the kingdom. She watches as they thrive under Viserys' rule, but soon, that decision becomes something they regret. Green Flame set ablaze in the middle of the city, destroying the city her king built.
The Green Flame reduces all the creation into ashes. She watches the scene in shock and is ready to tell her king about this vision. However, before she can leave, R'hllor shows her another scene.
This time, it is a man with a symbol of a hooded lion sneaking into the chamber of the alchemist. The hooded lion pays the greedy alchemist with a Fool Golds of the Lion and sabotages the work of the other Alchemist, the loyal Alchemist.
The goal of the Lion is to create a crack in the relationship between the Alchemist and the Golden Dragon.
And it is working.
King Viserys kills all the alchemists. Only three of them survive the massacre, and they flee to the hands of the Sorcerer in the City of Qohor. There, they are working with the Sorcerers of Qohor, and she can see a black spot in the Golden Sun.
The black spot gets bigger by the second.
She frowns and understands that she needs to prevent her king from inviting the Alchemist. However, the vision changes once again, but this time, R'hllor shows her the future where her king does not invite the alchemist.
She watches as the war between the Great Enemies and Golden Dragon rages on in the Land Without Warmth. She watches as she and the others fight for the future of the world. The fight raged on, and it was a hard fight. A lot of people lose their lives, and they even lose a dragon in the fight.
However, they win. They came out victorious. The cost is high, but they are coming out victorious.
She nodded her head because this vision sealed the decision. However, once again, the vision changed. This time, she sees her and her king standing on a tower. In front of them are machines that throw a concoction of things getting thrown into the distance.
She watches as Green Flame burns the Great Enemies in the distance. Not only that, she watches as dragons encircle the area. Alduin releases a massive torrent of purple flame that combines with the Green Flame.
The two fires dance around the Land Without Warmth and burn the Great Other.
The end of the war is coming faster and with fewer casualties. The reason? Viserys only accepted a few Alchemists into his rank. She watches as the vision changes. She watches as she guides her king to recruit the Alchemist, who is terrorized by the people under the Stag King.
They become the most loyal people under the Golden Dragon and become the solid pillar that will become the foundation of the Great Empire.
With that vision ended, she opened her eyes with a new purpose and objective. She bowed her head low and gave one last prayer.
"Thank you for your guidance, my lord. I now know what path I should take. The fog in my mind is gone, and I shall guide the king to fulfill our destiny."
After saying her prayer, she gets up and lets the Fire Maidens do their job of taking care of the Undying Flame of R'hlllor.
She walks back to the palace and goes to Viserys' office. She knocks on the door and hears his voice.
"Come in."
She opens the door and sees Viserys doing some paperwork. Viserys smile at her, and she can feel a warm feeling coursing through her body from that smile.
'Ahhh~ You have grown so much, my lord~ I cannot wait for you to claim me.'
Her dirty mind complained but she quickly put it away before it could show.
"Have you done, Melisandre? You've been in the Temple for three hours."
"Talking to the Divine requires time, my lord."
"And I understand that. So! What is the verdict? What does Lord R'hllor show you?"
"He showed me that we should recruit the Alchemist."
Viserys nods his head in happiness and says.
"Perfect! Then we should–"
"But!"
She stops him before he can go further.
"But, we cannot recruit them all, my lord."
"Oh?"
"Lord R'hlllor shows me that if we recruit all of them, some of them will betray you and destroy our future capital. The Green Flame shall devour all your hard work and kill countless people. In your anger, you will kill almost all of the alchemists, while the ones who manage to run away will join the Sorcerers of Qohor and become a problem for your descendants."
Viserys frowns at that answer and nods his head. He does not like the sound of people destroying his creation and killing his people.
"Right. Then, what should I do?"
"We should ask Jaqen and the others to investigate King's Landing. Our Lord showed me there are a few Alchemists who get oppressed by the people of Stag King for not wanting to cooperate with them. If we can secure them, we shall get an Alchemist who is very loyal to you, my lord."
Viserys nods his head and says.
"Very well. I shall Jaqen about them, and when he–"
"I shall tell the others, my lord."
"Oh, Gods!"
Viserys clutches his heart when he hears Jaqen's voice next to him. Even Melisandre prepares to attack because she does not see him there or feel his presence in this room.
"Don't do that. I don't know if I can take that kind of jumpscare for a long time."
She doesn't know what he means by jumpscare and decides to put that word into her memory so she can write it down in the Holy Book about the Rise of Azor Ahai. That word shall become the word that many people remember in the future.
"I apologize, my lord."
"Right. With them being out of the way, Melisandre, I need you here to talk about the refuge from the East."
