A lot of steamy breaths escaped the lips of the students who were jogging in circles.
In the vast training grounds, as extensive as a football field, the Beta students were being made to run around it a hundred times in one go.
It initially started off as five laps, and even that was extreme.

Among these students was Razael.
After training concluded on the first day, the students were divided into two groups—Alpha and Beta.
The Alpha group had all the immensely talented and powerful members.

This was the effect of partial embodiment.
Razael's hair also turns blond when he embodies Adonis. His facial structure also changes slightly, but his body structure remains the same since it's already similar to Adonis.
Razael could maintain this state for 1 hour with a cooldown of 24 hours. After one hour, his status reverts to the original weak status he had. Though Razael can use permanent embodiment to keep this status forever without any time limit or cooldown.
Unfortunately, his sync rate is only enough to permanently embody Adonis's looks and base stats. But that too, was more than enough to be one of the strongest students.

Even without any extra embodiment, though, Razael's base stat was almost on the level of Adonis now.

Lucielle slammed her hands on the table and leaned forward, locking eyes with him. Her chest rose and fell with every breath, the curve of her low-cut dress drawing his gaze—an irresistible, deep, shadowed valley now inches from Razael's face.
"Are you listening? Did you remember all the pages I gave you yesterday?"
The moment Razael laid eyes on Lucielle, he knew he wanted her. She was irresistible—beautiful in a way that defied reality. And perhaps that was fitting, because she'd always been his favorite character in the novel.
He wished for Lucielle to be the main heroine when he was a reader, but now, he wanted her for himself.
