From Kaiden, a wave of darkness extended, looking like it would devour the world. It was in a stalemate with a transparent wave from the red halberd. It was from there that the hammer-loke sound had come from, as well as the shockwave that had swept over like a tempest.
Lucas was unable to fathom what was happening, only that the halberd was shaking, pushed further into the path of destruction as the hair-sized cracks grew on its body. It was resisting the darkness, but it was losing.
