"First, Professor Elivian appears out of nowhere, and now a high-ranked adventurer playing bodyguard?" Litty complained, floating mid-air with her legs crossed and an indignant expression. "What happened to that whole 'no help allowed' they made such a fuss about?"
"Setting aside the Elivian part—she only came because of the girls..." Edward muttered, then paused as something crossed his mind, making him let out a sigh. "Although now that I think about it... I might've drawn more attention from her than I should have."
"Well, even with the strongest torch, sooner or later someone would've seen a shadow," Litty said with a shrug—only to be cut off as a finger flicked her forehead, sending her crashing into the nearest tree.
"Spare me the dramatic one-liners. I was fine—something else must've drawn more attention than it should've," Edward replied, turning to Nindia, who stood frozen just as he'd instructed.
