Two weeks later, Headmistress Godfrey finally arrived at the gates of Hannes City.
When the guards stationed there saw her, they were greatly taken aback. They hurriedly approached her and respectfully greeted her.
"Good day, My Lady!"
"Please allow me to inform Count Hannes of your arrival!"
The old headmistress waved her hand dismissively. "There's no need for that."
She stepped foot on the wild cobblestoned streets of the city and looked around with a faint smile, "Has anything worthwhile happened while I was away?"
The city guards looked at one another before one of them stepped forward and said with a deferential bow, "Reporting to the lady! Nothing major has happened in the past few months."
He paused for a moment, recalling something, and added. "There was, however, a pirate ship that had tried to dock at the harbor, but they were swiftly taken care of and handed over to the city's law enforcement."
