The value of a secret lies in the fact that not everyone can know it.
Perhaps only two or three people should know, or perhaps only a specific group. It's also possible that only one specific person should know.
The final conversation with Yae needed to be hidden from Raiden Ei.
Because it involved one person.
—The Fatui Harbinger, Scaramouche.
Currently, there are two Fatui Harbingers in Inazuma, and the forces they've deployed aren't weak.
Of course, in terms of absolute strength, unless the Tsaritsa herself were to appear, the difference would be overwhelming.
Given the current situation, it's clear to everyone that there won't be a war between Snezhnaya and Inazuma. There will only be negotiations and exchanges of interests.
The reason for bringing up Scaramouche is only one…
Li Mo leaped down from the long corridor in front of the Grand Narukami Shrine. The air seemed to hold him up, as if there were an invisible staircase beneath his feet, allowing him to descend step by step.
The Gnosis would eventually be traded to the Lady. In exchange, Snezhnaya would compensate for the damages Inazuma suffered during the Sakoku Decree and the Vision Hunt Decree.
The knowledge he had instilled should have had an effect. Inazuma wouldn't face such a situation again in the future. He should ask Ei how to change the Shogun. Or should he fight the Shogun? That would require entering the consciousness space of Raiden Makoto. Several hundred years… perhaps that could be utilized?
After a pause, Li Mo decided to wait until the Traveler arrived before making any further decisions.
His wandering thoughts were cut short as he reflected on his conversation with Yae.
In the original storyline, the Gnosis was originally taken by Scaramouche, who then fled to Sumeru to collaborate with the Akademiya on a plan to ascend to godhood.
Now, due to his intervention, the Delusion issue within the resistance hadn't spiraled out of control. Additionally, his confrontation with the Raiden Shogun at Tenshukaku, culminating in a life-and-death struggle due to **"The End of Four Nights,"** had yielded positive results. Raiden Ei had emerged from the Plane of Euthymia, deciding to take matters into her own hands.
The Shogun could be exploited, but Ei wouldn't be.
At this point, things had already deviated from the original timeline. If things continued this way, the Gnosis would inevitably end up in the hands of the Lady and be sent to Snezhnaya.
Given the Fatui's tendency to cause trouble, Li Mo decided to stir the pot. He would leak information about the Gnosis to Scaramouche.
Scaramouche and the Lady held equal authority within the Fatui. If Scaramouche still desired to become a god… he would undoubtedly make a move for the Gnosis. Whether Scaramouche could succeed wasn't important. What mattered was that he would make the attempt.
Thus, the information needed to reach Scaramouche.
Li Mo and Yae naturally wouldn't handle this themselves. The Tenryou Commission and the Kanjou Commission were in disarray due to the arrests of their leaders. Moreover, the Grand Narukami Shrine had no direct ties with these two factions.
The Yashiro Commission was the best choice.
And the best person to approach was Kamisato Ayato.
Kamisato Estate.
His priestly robes were undoubtedly the best pass. The Kamisato family held the Grand Narukami Shrine in high regard, and Li Mo was respectfully ushered inside. The bad news was that Kamisato Ayato wasn't present. The good news was that Kamisato Ayaka and the housekeeper, Thoma, were.
"Your Excellency, Lady Ayaka is currently entertaining guests. It will be a moment before she can join you."
"No problem. Thoma, I've heard you're quite well-informed, right?"
The other had introduced himself earlier.
"Yes, Your Excellency. How may I assist you?"
"I need a message to reach a high-ranking member of the Fatui. Can you manage that?" Li Mo asked. "Of course, try not to make it common knowledge. Hmm… it's fine if it spreads within the Fatui. However, I don't know where this person is currently located."
According to reports from Kannazuka, someone resembling Scaramouche had been seen. Scaramouche's distinctive attire and demeanor made him stand out in Inazuma, where he was known as the "Wanderer." His appearance was unique, neither resembling the locals nor the Fatui. The information had been relayed through various channels before reaching Li Mo.
—Since the Raiden Shogun had chosen to reside at the Grand Narukami Shrine, it had become the center of power in Inazuma. Because the path up the mountain wasn't easy to traverse, official documents weren't delivered by hand but by the tanuki. However, recently, the Kanjou Commission had approached the Yashiro Commission about renovating the mountain path.
"Hmm… I should be able to manage that."
"Then I'll leave it to you. The message is this." Li Mo handed over a slip of paper.
Thoma first glanced at the information on the paper, then looked up sharply at the priest before him. "Are you sure it's alright to spread this message?"
"Hmm… if the Shogun doesn't care, why should we? Oh, and about the person's appearance… never mind. I'll just draw it for you."
Li Mo had seen Scaramouche before, and his features were quite distinctive. Using his elemental powers, he sketched Scaramouche's appearance in the air, then solidified it and handed it to Thoma. "This is him."
"I'll complete the task."
As Thoma left, Kamisato Ayaka entered the room.
"Your Excellency, it's been a while. How is your health?"
"I didn't die that day. Yae thought it would be funny to trick you," Li Mo explained.
His gaze then shifted to the person behind her.
Blonde hair, white attire. At a glance, she was clearly a lovely girl, and with the small floating companion beside her, it was easy to identify her.
"So, this is the Traveler?" Li Mo asked.
"Yes, Your Excellency. Allow me to introduce you. This is the Traveler, Lumine, and this is her companion, Paimon," Kamisato Ayaka introduced.
"Hello, Your Excellency," Paimon said.
"Hello," Lumine greeted.
"Just call me Li Mo," he replied.
"Li Mo? That doesn't sound like an Inazuman name," Paimon remarked, covering her mouth.
"I'm not from Inazuma originally. Becoming a priest was just a twist of fate."
The three of them sat down, and Kamisato Ayaka asked, "Your Excellency, did you come to the Kamisato Estate for something?"
"Yes, I've already asked Thoma to handle it. Now that it's done, I'll be heading back to the shrine soon," Li Mo explained.
"I have a favor to ask, if it's not too much trouble," Kamisato Ayaka said.
Li Mo glanced at Lumine and Paimon, then said, "You want to meet the Shogun, don't you?"
"Yes. Is that possible, Your Excellency?" Lumine asked.
"Of course, it's possible. But I think the Shogun won't know the whereabouts of your brother. You've already met the Anemo and Geo Archons, haven't you? They didn't give you any useful information, did they?"
"That's right. Do you know where my brother is?" Lumine asked.
"I only know that your brother is currently working with the Abyss Order," Li Mo said. "As for the Shogun, I can take you to meet her. But if you want more information, I suggest you go to Sumeru."
"Sumeru?" Lumine pressed. "Does the Dendro Archon know something about my brother?"
"The Dendro Archon… the current Dendro Archon is imprisoned by the sages, and the previous Dendro Archon's fate is unknown. They won't give you the answers you seek. However, the Dendro Archon is connected to the Irminsul, which records everything in this world. Your brother's traces in this world should also be recorded there," Li Mo began to reveal.
"Is that so?" Lumine asked.
"That's how it is," Li Mo nodded.
