Chapter 3 - Diamond
'I still have no clue about the purpose of these points but they must be important.' He thought as he slowly descended into the depths of the cave.
He finally reached the floor.
The surrounding was dark despite being faintly illuminated by glow lichen.
He materialized the shield on his off-hand and then began to wander around with his torch to brighten the area.
He heard a familiar sound echoing inside his head.
[Ding!]
[Taming progress for the mob, [Creeper]: 1/1,500.]
[Ding!]
[Taming progress for the mob, [Skeleton]: 2/1,000.]
'Hm, I see, I'll need to kill a lot more of them to tame anyone of these, it's pretty annoying but doable, I'll just need to create a mob farm soon.' He thought.
Thud
He managed to deflect an arrow that struck him, from a higher ground he could see a skeleton calmly pulling its bowstring once again.
"Great, how can I get to that skeleton?" He muttered as he noticed multiple silhouettes approaching the skeleton.
It was zombies.
The zombies, in an attempt to reach Vincent, pushed the skeleton down and fell down alongside them.
'Well, that's convenient.' He thought as he materialized the stone sword in his right hand.
The mobs crashed into the ground and glowed bright red, almost dying to fall damage.
Using his shield, he managed to block the incoming arrows and calmly dealt with the approaching zombies.
'I'm getting more comfortable in using these weapons, I might be able to actually fight effectively in the near future. And fortunately, it seems that I can continue attacking while blocking, everything is manual, different from the game which would mean flying an elytra in the future will be a pain in the ass.' He thought, in his imagination, he would probably have a horrible time training for elytra.
As he finally landed a strike on the skeleton, he ate a cooked beef to heal.

"Oh, iron." He muttered as he noticed multiple iron veins near each other in his peripheral vision.
[Ding!]

[Taming progress for the mob, [Skeleton]: 3/1,000.]
He stared at the taming progress and sighed.
'It would take forever to complete even one of them…' He thought, slightly disappointed.
He materialized a stone pickaxe into his hand.
'This should be enough for full-armor and iron tools, there's also coals? Great.' He thought as he began to swing the pickaxe to mine the iron veins.
It didn't take long for him to collect the raw irons.
He managed to get 16 raw irons, 2 raw iron blocks and 19 coals.
He placed the blast furnace and crafting table next to each other.
Opening his inventory, he crafted the 2 raw iron blocks into 18 raw irons.
Vincent put the 34 raw irons and the 19 coals inside the blast furnace.
'It shouldn't be that long, should I gather the rest of the materials I saw?' He thought.
He walked around the cave, he managed to get his hands on multiple ores.
He collected 17 raw irons, 21 coals, 48 raw copper and 22 lapis lazuli.
He also saw multiple gold ores on the higher ground where the skeleton and zombies fell from, there's also many redstone ores spreading across the floor.
He couldn't mine them of course.
He returned to the blast furnace and acquired the 34 iron ingots and the remaining 14 coals.
He goes to the crafting table and starts to craft some necessities.
He crafted an iron helmet, iron chestplate, iron boots and iron leggings.
He quickly wore them.
Above the row of red hearts icon, a new row of icons emerged, it was an icon of chestplate. There's 10 of the empty icons in the armor bar, 7 and a half of them were filled after the armor was worn.
He was left with 10 iron ingots.
He turned towards the crafting table again to craft the tools.
He crafted an extra shield just in case, iron pickaxe, iron sword, iron axe and an iron shovel.
After that he placed them in the hotbar, replacing the stone variants.
He looked into his inventory.
He had collected 2 stacks of cobblestones, 55 cobbled deepslate, 23 granite, 44 andesite, 10 diorite, 22 lapis lazuli, 17 raw irons, 48 raw copper and 35 coals.
Vincent was satisfied with his haul and decided to continue deeper into the cave.
Not long after, he was met with a massive pool of lava.
Using his water bucket, he could cross the lava pool with ease but he noticed something within his peripheral vision.
It was blue and shiny.
'Diamonds? Lucky me! Now, I should probably prepare to enchant my equipment.' He thought, a smile crept into his face as he excitedly walked over the obsidian floor to the vein of diamonds.
He materialized the iron pickaxe.
The silver colored pickaxe reflected the light from the torches, his hand tightened as he swung to the diamond ore to mine it.
Surprisingly, the vein was right next to another vein of diamonds.
He couldn't possibly hide his excitement and joy as he collected the precious diamonds.
He managed to collect 8 diamonds.
'First, I should probably craft a diamond pickaxe for taking obsidian and then craft an enchantment table, the remaining diamonds should be used for emergencies.' He thought.
He placed a crafting table in front of him.
He placed three of the diamonds on all slots on the top row, one stick on the middle slot of the middle row and one stick on the middle slot of the bottom row.
He crafted the diamond pickaxe.
Materializing it into his hand, he began to find a safe place to start mining the obsidians.
He quickly swings.
It takes a pretty long time to break.
Fortunately, he wasn't in a rush.
He collected 22 obsidians, 4 will be used to craft the enchanting table and the rest will be used to build a portal to the Nether.
