Ashley flew them through the skies, the city sprawling beneath them. The sense of freedom in the air made Ashley feel alive, and she couldn't help but revel in it.
Moments later, they hovered over Michelle's university. "Alright, here we are," Ashley said, gently lowering them to the ground.
Michelle quickly adjusted herself, brushing off her outfit as she smiled up at her best friend. "Thanks, Ashley. You really saved me today."
Ashley grinned, rolling her eyes. "It's what besties are for," she teased. "Go on, before you really get yourself in trouble."
Michelle stuck her tongue out at her before hurrying inside. "I'll text you after class!"
Ashley watched her go, shaking her head fondly. With a sigh, she took off into the air again, her flight back to the apartment giving her time to think.
