"Me? Hurt? No," Gu Chen insisted as he made his way to the bed, climbed in, and then lay down.
Lin Yuning stood there, biting her lip, motionless, watching him.
"What's up?" Gu Chen slightly lifted his eyes to look at her.
"Nothing. Go to sleep," Lin Yuning said as she entered another bedroom.
He must not want to worry me, that's why he's enduring it without saying anything, she thought as she prepared her bed and then lay down.
Lin Yuning hesitated for a long time about whether or not to close her door before deciding to leave it open.
That way, if Gu Chen had any problems, she would be able to hear.
With that thought, Lin Yuning closed her eyes.
