Amelia Clarke didn't answer his words but leaned in to kiss his cheek and smiled, "This is your reward."
She understood everything he did for her.
Owen Moreland turned his head to look at Amelia Clarke, his eyes sharp as if he could see into her heart.
He freed his right hand to stroke her cheek and spoke in a calm and commanding voice, "They are your colleagues and have helped you a lot. As your husband, it's only right for me to step out of the car to greet them. You always say thank you, which makes it seem like you're treating me like a stranger."
Amelia Clarke looked up into the man's unfathomable eyes, and though they were calm, she felt a strong emotion from them.
"Alright, I won't say thank you anymore." She smiled. "From now on, I'll just reward you."
With that, she kissed his thin lips and gently sucked on them.
Owen Moreland reached out to support the back of her head, deepening the kiss.
By the time they returned to South Hill Villa, it was past nine o'clock.
