Chapter Seven
The scent in her hair was a fragrance he had longed for, for far too long.
To have one more second of it was already a luxury.
Ryan Gregory softened his voice, "I'll go buy something."
"You haven't eaten all day, have you?"
Sofia Hamilton listened, glancing at his hand, and indeed, he was holding something.
As her emotions settled, she realized how impulsive her actions had been.
In a moment of rashness, she had run to him and hugged him.
Was she not awake yet?
Or still not thinking clearly…
He had already told her to leave, told her he didn't want her anymore.
Remembering this, Sofia quickly released him.
In that instant, there was a trace of awkwardness, but she couldn't find the words to explain her absurd behavior.
Luckily, Ryan broke the silence, saying, "Let's go. Don't leave Lena alone in the ward."
It was only then that she remembered, and she quickly followed him back to the ward.
The two of them walked side by side along the way.
