Chapter Nine
Just as she turned around, the sound of a door opening came from behind her.
Immediately following, the voice of a servant rang out, "Miss Sofia?"
She turned her head and saw that it was the household servant.
Forcing a faint smile, a wave of disappointment brewed uncontrollably in her heart.
She thought it would be him coming out.
Sofia felt a little awkward; she didn't even know why she showed up here. If the servant told Ryan Gregory that she'd come, what would he think of her?
After all, it was her who had told him not to come near her anymore.
And yet, here she was, showing up herself...
Sofia wanted to leave immediately, but the servant quickly ran over. "Wait a moment, Miss Sofia."
The servant rushed up to her. "Mr. Gregory instructed me to give you something if you came back."
"What is it?"
"Come with me, please."
"To where?"
"Inside, the item is inside."
"But..."
