Jesslyn Derei arrived at the five-star hotel where Bentelie Cooper was staying, with Penelope Jenkins in tow.
She led Penelope straight to the elevator.
On Penelope's head was a large sun hat that covered her cute little face.
Because they were running so fast, the hat nearly fell off several times.
One hand held her mother's, and the other pressed tightly against the hat.
Though there was no sunlight in the hotel, she was accustomed to wearing a hat outside for a sense of security.
"Mommy, slow down."
Penelope gasped for breath.
Once in the elevator, Jesslyn squatted down and tenderly wiped the sweat from her daughter's forehead, "Sorry, baby, Mommy wasn't considering your feelings. But we'll see Daddy very soon."
Penelope's sweaty little face broke into a sweet smile, "It's okay, seeing Daddy is more important."
The elevator reached the 88th floor, and Jesslyn walked out with her daughter's hand in hers.
This time, the two stern-faced bodyguards were not in the hallway.
