"Why are you staring at him so intently? Does it look better than me?"
Amalia thought about the time she had spent looking at the Sea King—it was barely two seconds...
"Were you born without bringing your brain along?" she asked seriously.
Kenny Lin snorted, "Do I look like someone who lacks a brain?"
"I don't know if you're brainless, but I do know you're an idiot," Amalia sighed.
Before he could retort, she raised an eyebrow and warned, "Try arguing with me again."
Kenny Lin opened his mouth, but seeing the serious look in her eyes, he slowly closed it and muttered, "I'll let you off just this once."
Amalia rolled her eyes, not wanting to continue the conversation.
Although the Sea King might not be an enemy, arguing in front of an uncertain ally seemed foolish.
She couldn't believe he wasn't an idiot.
"You two are different from other humans." The ethereal, deep voice echoed in their minds, as mesmerizing as its eyes.
