Sitting at the end of the table, the alpha listened to the reports with extreme attention. His countenance was serious and cold, which made the other employees apprehensive because they were unable to read his mood.
Was he approving the reports?
Did the teams do well that semester?
Did the company's shares go up again?
It was impossible to find an answer. As soon as the employee finished presenting the report, he cast an anxious look at the other managers who were sitting. They all exchanged glances and remained silent, until the alpha's blue eyes rose.
— Okay, it seems that you did well in my absence — he said finally, causing a wave of sighs of relief — I want you to keep the pace, and I will give you two weeks to prepare to present the projects next semester.
— Yes, sir!
The alpha raised his head, maintaining seriousness and sighed then.
— I want managers to better train their interns, some reports are deplorable. If they do not show any improvement, send them away and open new positions.
The managers agreed with the heads, although they knew it would be even more work. Still, they wouldn't dare contradict the CEO.
Then, at the end of the meeting, the alpha stood up from his chair and left the meeting room. The platinum hair and light eyes softened for a moment.

The beta opened the notebook and followed Jake's steps as it reminded him.
— You asked me to remind you that at eleven o'clock you wanted to go into the third meeting room, to talk with your uncle.

He turned in the corridor of the big company, continuing by leaps and bounds until reaching the third meeting room. Knocking a few times, he opened the door and saw those familiar faces.

His uncle continued with that stiff countenance, despite the clear signs of age. Jake walked into the room and approached his uncle and looked at two other people who were sitting.
— So what? Will we have a new CEO for the hotel chain?
Sadie kept her composure with her hands on the table and her confident look, which Jake considered a very positive point. If your cousin would take her father's position, it would be a great help. She would certainly have some great ideas to keep the Mckenzie name clean.
But for that, Sadie had to pass through the last obstacle: her own father.
The alpha stared at the folder with the report that Sadie prepared, and then he sighed.

Jake quickly withdrew from the meeting room for the second time and walked through the company corridors. On the way he gave orders to his secretary, to prepare reports for the next meetings, to pass requests to some managers and other tasks.
As he was returning to work, there were many issues.

Jake took the letter and agreed with his head, shaking his daughter's hand. Lucas was identical to Nathaniel, and of course he drew the attention of the girls in his classroom. Jake was jealous with both children, but the difference was that Ariel rejected the boys directly, while Lucas, most of the time, did not know how to deal with the girls.
— Good job, Ariel. Keep looking after your brother.
— You can leave with me, dad!
Hugging his daughter by the shoulder, the two also left the office. Maybe in the future, Lucas would have trouble getting a girlfriend who was approved by his sister and father. However, he would have his other father to help dribble this jealous double.
