Chapter 95 - Getting to Leave

There was no doubt that a person's item spirit determined their livelihood.

However, there was no point in recorded history of a being with two Livelli in their arsenal.

As for Z'oelo, he had just awoken a second Livelli that seemed to be either in a peculiar situation such as a dormant state or simply unresponsive unlike Muni.

As Muni's transformation was complete, Z'oelo called out to her through their connection.

As he beheld her new form with the others, they were impressed at the changes.

From a simple metal bat, she now manifested as a sleek sword-like blade with a thick, rounded side.

It was bizarre for sure, but something about it suited someone like Z'oelo.

One edge to slash and the other to bash.

Calling upon the other Livelli, something weird occurred akin to drawing water from a well.

It was not like how he felt Muni's presence somewhere within himself; if he sensed her presence within himself then the other presence was somewhere hidden.

Nonetheless, when he reached for the hidden Livelli, he still received an answer in the form of something mystical.

The Livelli manifestation he received was a pair of earrings.

"Huh?! Where did those things come from?"

It was Muni who was confused about the additional partner.

Was she not the only one residing inside his special organ?

Why was it that there was now room for another Livelli without her noticing?

Z'oelo responded, "Dunno. I guess it came when the spirit energy went through my extra arms. I don't feel any different in my organ though, so not even I am sure of where it comes from."

The group stayed silent at the prospect, not knowing how to feel about it.

"Well anyways, I wonder what exactly these things are for aside from accessorizing."

He put on the earrings with a painful stab but did not so much as wince at the pain.

"They look pretty cool all things aside," Null commented.

"Pretty gnarly how you just stabbed 'em in there though," Klein said.

"Sick," was all Theef had to say.

Z'oelo felt no different after the fact, so he wondered if there was truly nothing to be had aside from a new look.

It took little ki insertion to power the manifestation of the earrings, so he was fine with wearing them at all times.

Muni side glanced at Z'oelo for a time but sighed as she knew that there was nothing for her to worry about.

No matter the origin of the earrings, as long as she held a place in his eyes all was fair.

Though she was a bit ticked off that there was less of a reaction about her new form.

She chimed, "Hey! Enough about these mysterious items. What about the changes to my form?"

His back straightened, "Oh! It's pretty hardcore now that there's a sharp bladed to it. Now all those stupid lessons aren't so pointless."

"Hmph! You better like it."

"Anyways...," Z'oelo sighed in relief, "Why did you guys come here in the first place?"

Seeing as he was curious about their journey, it was time to fill him in on the basics.

---

"So, we're going after some infinitely impossible, cryptically bizarre being's whereabouts without so little as an inkling as to where it could be."

Z'oelo sucked his teeth, "Damn. And here I thought I'd end up killing my old man to gain some peace. Looks like we're going on a space adventure Muni!"

Wu!

She chimed.

As convoluted as it was, this was only the beginning of the journey with a simple start.

"Alright we're ready to go!"

Z'oelo was psyched to leave the drab life he had on Lokhil.

For him, it meant nothing to him if he stayed as long as he had Muni with him; at the very least he would not be bored.

"There's no need to rush," Null slowed his roll.

"Why the wait," Z'oelo asked.

Not just him, but the others wondered the same.

"Something tells me the rest of our crew aren't on another planet like we've been accustomed to."

Theef and Barter's Ruler had no idea about the last survivors on Null's home planet, but Klein and Z'oelo— along with Muni— did.

"Are you talking about Mr. Zolial and Ms. Florie?"

"If my guess is right, then yeah it should be them."

Theef and Barter's Ruler turned to each other and shared the same look of confusion then resolution.

They had already chosen to ride along for the journey and had nothing in particular they were needing to tend to.

"Hey," Theef started, "You think you could score us some of those cool items?"

Barter's Ruler gave a look of approval from the side.

Greed was the one thing the two shared.

"Hmm. I don't know. Let me see-," before Null could finish, he was already sent an answer.

He scratched his head for a moment before relaying the transmission, "For these item spirits you kinda need a spirit to form the basis of the item's creation."

"I have Ego and Void to help me and Z'oelo has Muni on his side, so unless you can find a way to produce a spirit there's nothing I can do."

"Guess it's time to eat some of the wildlife once more," Theef had his tricks under his sleeve.

"What does he mean by that," Z'oelo was still getting used to the other crewmates.

"To put it simply, he can adapt and evolve traits and the like from consuming things and other beings with the desired product."

"If I eat this organ you guys and the critters possess, I can make one of my own," he flashed his version of a toothy grin, "Then... then...," he turned to Null with no trace of the grin.

Null received another bit of information, "Then we experiment on you and find out how to bring a spirit to life inside of it."

"I'm pretty good at bringing life to inanimate things so with something designed to house a spirit there shouldn't be a problem."

The rest of them looked at him with gazes of unknown meaning.

"Somehow that doesn't sound as reassuring as you might think, but considering your track record I'll let it slide," Theef thought back to the eye rolling and the possession back on the ship.

And so, Theef departed with the intent to devour the inhabitants of the harsh wilds outside of the confines of the Shetavi land.

Klein followed him for the chance to study the wildlife and see how the creatures on this new planet looked on the inside— especially the wonderous spirit housing organ.

The rest of the crew got prepared to board the ship after making sure there was nothing left to wrap up on their way out.

Unfortunately, there was in fact one hurdle they had to overcome in the form of a sparring match.

Z'oelo's father, The Sword Sovereign, Ruler of the Shetavi, had decided that the people who came from nowhere were unworthy of taking his son.

He had also wanted to teach his son a lesson after being knocked out so embarrassingly.
