He did not want her to remember that nightmare—the nightmare that she mentioned amidst her tears—tears that she did not know had pricked his heart, as it described how hurt it was still for her. What he wanted was for her to recognize that nightmare as a mere dream that would dissipate soon to no longer leave a trace in her life as they lived a life together, passing day after day side by side.
He wanted her to only remember the present moments, where she would not feel that pain ever again, as he had promised to do what he did not do in the past and to say what he did not say in the past, to let her know that his love for her was always real.
Yet the fear was still there. What if no matter how hard he squeezed his sweat and withdrew his blood to block their past life from reaching her, fate would still bring her there? Would their fate be the same? He had repeatedly questioned that since his memory recognized their past life.
