James Black took a deep breath. He truly adored his wife.
"Jane Sampson, do you know what happens after eating spicy hotpot?" James's voice deepened slightly.
"Maybe it'll upset my stomach?" Jane responded honestly.
"Does having an upset stomach feel bad?" James continued.
"It does." This answer was even more candid than the last.
"You might just take some medicine for your discomfort, but I would feel heartbroken." James flicked Jane's forehead, "If you really want to break my heart, then go ahead and eat it."

Jane stared at James dumbfounded. Where on earth had he learned to talk like that?

Jane quickly reached out and touched James's forehead, asking seriously, "James, are you sick?"
Jane swallowed, "Did I scare you today?"
"What?" James hadn't expected his offhanded comment to frighten Jane like this, "I'm perfectly normal."
