"Yes," Mr. Lucas's voice came through, cold and clear. Lily's head hung even lower.
She just knew.
Even after she had finally awakened her first personality, her failure to keep her promise likely worsened his perception of her.

Lily was filled with disappointment, no longer knowing how to explain the situation to Aidan Lucas.
Facing him now, she was more cautious than ever before.
