Chapter 6 - Synthios

'Synthios' An artificial life-form he based on the Earth Grudge Fear technique, Shen murmured to himself, his voice a blend of wonder and contemplation. "A dark fusion of life and death, chakra and fear."

"As the seed takes root within a host," Shen's words were a blend of explanation and anticipation, "it establishes a symbiotic relationship, enhancing cognitive functions and physical prowess. But it is not limited to a singular individual."

Shen's form shifted, his eyes reflecting the intricate connections that now wove through the construct of Synthios. "The bonds formed by Synthios extend beyond a single host. Experiences, knowledge, and abilities can be shared between hosts, compensating for each other's inadequacies."

He paused, the construct's energy humming with the potential that lay before him. 'Synthios creates a network of enhancement, a unity that transcends individual limitations.'

"You've done well, Hiroshi Senpai." Shen continued to tinker on his project as a bespectacled man approached from behind him in measured steps. "You flatter me Shen. I still can't believe this is possible." Hiroshi played with his machine-phase matter morph ability.

"These are the items you specified," Hiroshi pushed a cart with a big box forward and took something from his pocket. "This contains the collection of forging techniques used in the creation of chakra weapons." He gently walked over and placed it on the study table where similar scrolls can be find.

Hiroshi is a senior member of the Science and Technology division of Konoha. His terminal illness made him accept Shen's offer of a second chance. Although he is a failed product who can not actively make use of chakra, he can still perform feats he never knew possible.

"Finally!" Shen turned to Hiroshi with a childish grin and ran to the box that Hiroshi brought over. It has four items inside it, an armor, a black long sword with a green gem, a dual bladed short sword, and a blue three-pronged sword. A faint scent of iron wafted on his nose when he opened the box testament to how 'fresh' they are.

Shen closed the box with a smile decorating his face. He opened his palm and handed a small metallic ball to an astonished Hiroshi. "You finished it already? This is faster than I thought." He quickly picked up his reward and observed it quickly in front of him.

"I call it Synthios. This will supposedly allow you to actively control chakra. Those fuinjutsu scrolls helped save a lot of time. See if you can collect more samples." Shen explained as he picked up the scroll Hiroshi placed on the his study table.

"I'm glad they are of help to our cause. If that is all, may I be excused?" Hiroshi spoke excitedly. As a civilian, it has been a pipedream for him to recover much less be able to enter the wonderful world of chakra. Of course as the one who serves as nexus for the operation of Synthios, Shen is aware of his thoughts.

"You may go. Synthios will be the one to receive your future missions."

Within the confines of his hidden chamber, Shen's form flickered with an intensity that betrayed his inner thoughts. The manifestation of Synthios before him seemed to pulse with a dark allure, albeit deemed incomplete, its potential beckoned like a siren's call. The façade of an alliance he had formed with Itachi and the Uchiha is nothing but an investment.

"Synthios," Shen's voice was a whisper laced with ambition, "you will be the bridge between the worlds of the mundane and the shinobi."

His eyes gleamed with a glint of dark resolve as he extended his hand toward the construct. The tendrils of energy within Synthios seemed to respond, pulsating with a hunger that mirrored his own.

'As hosts proliferate,' Shen's voice carried a hint of calculation, 'so does my power and influence. An army of henchmen, connected by a bond that transcends loyalty – they will gather resources like worker ants and pave the path for my ambitions.'

As the shadows deepened, Shen's gaze shifted to the outside world, his thoughts shrouded in mystery and malevolence. 'Konoha, a mere pawn in a game that spans dimensions. Its resources pale in comparison to the arsenal I require to fulfill my destiny.'

A darkness seemed to creep into the chamber, a reflection of the obscurity that now clouded Shen's intentions. 'My research demands more than this village can provide. Technology and jutsu must converge on a scale that transcends their boundaries.'

His form flickered, his eyes gleaming with a mixture of ambition and frustration. 'I need resources, power, a network of influence that stretches beyond the borders of this world. I will shape my own destiny.'

With a surge of energy, Shen's form solidified, his gaze fixed on Synthios – a creation that was both his tool and his weapon. The whispers of ambition were now a driving force, propelling him toward a path that would forever reshape the world he had become a part of.

In the hallowed halls of the Naka Shrine, Itachi and Shisui stood before the Uchiha clan, their expressions a mixture of determination and concern. The gravity of their revelation hung in the air, a secret that had been buried beneath layers of deception and manipulation.

"Members of the Uchiha clan," Itachi's voice carried a weight that seemed to echo through the room, "we gather before you with a truth that must be brought to light."

The Uchiha shinobi exchanged glances, their curiosity piqued by Itachi's somber tone. His eyes reflected the weight of the words he was about to utter.

"It starts with Obito Uchiha who has been posing as Madara for quite a while. He is alive and became mad with hatred for Konoha and the Uchiha. He even schemed to release the Kyuubi just to form a rift between the village and the Uchiha. He was exposed by our benefactor... apparently, he intends to use the infinite tsukonomi to trap the whole world inside a genjutsu."

"That's not all. You see... I... I was entrusted with a mission by Danzo Shimura," Itachi's voice held a hint of bitterness, "a mission that entailed the annihilation of the entire Uchiha clan in exchange for peace within Konoha."

A murmur rippled through the room Fugaku observed his son, the shock of Itachi's revelation mingling with the tension that hung in the air. His gaze piercing as Itachi continued.

"But the truth goes deeper," Itachi's voice was a blend of regret and conviction. "It seems the mission was not the true objective. It was a smokescreen to conceal a more sinister plan – the massacre of our entire clan to harvest our Dojutsu!"

The room fell silent, the weight of Itachi's words settling over the Uchiha like a shroud. Whispers of disbelief mixed with understanding, as the gravity of their situation began to sink in.

"I approached Danzo and proposed to use the ability of my mangekyo the kotoamatsukami. In order to curb the clan's ever growing resolve to initiate a coup- I was foolish... It was never about the coup. The instant that I explained the mind control abilities of my kotoamatsukami, Danzo stole one of my eyes." A hollow gap slowly appeared in the place where his left eye should have been. Although Synthios gave him an eye that enabled him to see just as well as his normal eye, it could not recreate or regrow his kotoamatsukami in the short term.

Shisui's voice held a note of urgency as he addressed the clan. "We stand at a crossroads, faced with a choice that will determine the fate of our clan. To remain in the shadows and risk annihilation, or to rise against the manipulation that has bound us for far too long."

Itachi's gaze swept across the Uchiha, his Sharingan eyes reflecting the depth of his resolve. "Obito's manipulation coupled with Danzo's machinations and the collusion of those in power have kept us divided, isolated from the village that should be our home. We must weigh the pros and cons of our choices, and recognize that this path leads only to destruction."

A tension lingered in the air, the Uchiha clan grappling with the implications of the revelations that had been laid bare before them. Shisui's voice carried a hint of hope as he addressed his kin.

"Should we choose to stay, we risk our very existence, and for what? This village that clearly hate our very existence?" Shisui declared. "If we leave, we are in similar danger to that of the Uzumaki... BUT! we will have the chance to forge a new destiny, a new beginning."

The atmosphere within the Naka Shrine had shifted, the weight of the revelations settling over the Uchiha clan like a heavy fog. Whispers of doubt and uncertainty mingled with the tension that hung in the air, a testament to the gravity of the decision that had been thrust upon them.

As Itachi and Shisui stood before their kin, their expressions reflected a blend of determination and concern. The murmurs of skepticism that had emerged highlighted the divisions within the clan – divisions that had been nurtured by years of isolation and suspicion.

"We understand the skepticism," Shisui's voice cut through the silence, his gaze unwavering as he addressed the doubts that lingered. "The choice before us is not an easy one, but it is a choice that must be made for the sake of our survival."

Itachi's eyes spun with a mix of intensity and conviction he looked at his father, the head of the clan. "Clan head, please. We must acknowledge the darkness that has been cast upon our clan, a darkness that has manipulated and divided us. Our unity will be our strength. This is the time to lead the clan for a better future!"

Amidst the crowd, murmurs of dissent and concern echoed through the room. The Uchiha shinobi exchanged glances, their expressions ranging from contemplation to hesitation. The tension was palpable, the room heavy with the weight of the decision that awaited.

And then, amidst the uncertainty, a voice rose from the midst of the crowd. An elder Uchiha, his expression a mixture of determination and defiance, stepped forward.

"The path you propose is one of risk and uncertainty," the elder's voice was a mirror of the doubts that had been voiced. "Leaving the village, our home, is a choice that may lead us into the unknown."

Shisui's gaze locked onto the elder, his eyes reflecting a sense of understanding. "Uncertainty is a natural consequence of change. But remaining here, under the constant shadow of hate, ensures our destruction."

As the tension continued to thicken, Itachi's voice cut through the doubt like a blade. "The decision has already been made for us . Our clan's survival hinges on our unity and our resolve. We cannot remain shackled by the past any longer. Why are we so obsessed by the recognition of these mediocre village and its narrow minded citizens?"

A heavy silence settled over the room, the elder's expression wavering between defiance and contemplation. And then, amidst the stillness, another voice rose – a voice that carried the weight of determination.

"I agree with Itachi the villagers wouldn't even talk to Uchiha members normally. We are like outcasts in this place, I'm pretty sure that Kiri would gladly welcome the clan back after so long." a younger Uchiha spoke up, his voice unwavering. "Maybe it is time to seize this chance for a new beginning, for the sake of our children's future."
