Rose PoV
Saffron continue to hug me as we watched Anis sleep. The water dripping off his him was making my clothes all wet.
He smile slightly. "I've noticed you're not as skinny as you once were."
I felt heat rush to my cheeks, and I turned to look at him, unsure how to react. Was he calling me fat? The thought made my heart race in an unexpected mix of confusion and embarrassment.
But then he continued, "When we first married, you were so skinny, it worried me a little. I'm glad you're eating better."
I blinked, processing his words. Relief washed over me, and I couldn't help but let out a small laugh. "Oh! I thought you were implying I was gaining too much weight or something!"
He chuckled, shaking his head. "No, not at all! I just meant that you look healthy and happy. That's what matters most to me."
"Really?"
He nodded as he gave me a light squeeze. "Plus, it gives me something to hold."
