I watched as Milo passed out, a tired smile on his face. The fight had drained him, but there was an unmistakable spark of determination in his eyes even as he succumbed to exhaustion. I couldn't help but feel a swell of pride for my cousin. He'd given it everything he had, and I respected that.
Just as I started to lower my guard, I noticed a flicker of movement from Milo's direction. To my surprise, he began to stir, pushing himself up from the ground with a groan. "Ugh…" he mumbled, blinking as he tried to regain his bearings.
"Milo!" I exclaimed, genuinely surprised. "You're back on your feet already?"
He snickered and smirked at me. "No, it's me, Tasuku. It's my turn to fight you now, brother-in-law."
I sighed. "Is that wise? You share the same body. You might hurt yourself and Milo if you keep going."
He jumped to his feet and stretched. "Hmm, I feel pretty fine. Just a tad sore is all. Come on, let's fight. Unless you're too tired, that is."
