Glox exhaled, the glow of his dark green aura slowly fading from the area as he turned towards Jamie who was perched on a tree stump.
"Can you, I don't know, maybe give me a heads-up next time?"
Jamie, clapping like he had just watched a mildly entertaining scene from a movie, only laughed.
"Where's the fun in that?"
Glox could only heave an exasperated sigh at Jamie's response.
'This guy is… something else.'
Glox's feelings toward Jamie were complicated, to say the least.
On one hand, Jamie was the reason he was alive. After all, Jamie had quite literally snatched his soul away before it could be claimed by death, kept it with him, and then crafted a new body for him.
You'd think Glox would be grateful for that.
But here was the problem—Jamie was also the one who had killed him in the first place. In a rather brutal manner at that.
