Malfoy walked around the unconscious Frank and slowly entered Liddell Manor. Due to the lack of an owner, the place was a little dilapidated, but under Frank's painstaking efforts, the grass at the side was kept flat, and there were almost no weeds in sight.
Malfoy went straight to the largest room. He guessed that it should be the living room. He hoped to find some clues about Voldemort, but the power of time was too strong, and he could not find any traces of magic. He casually shook the wooden square table and stool, hoping to find something, but he still shook his head in disappointment.
Malfoy then went to the back of the house and stopped by a door that was almost completely covered by ivy.
"Araho, open." With a creak, the door made a heavy sound and slowly opened.
It was as dark as a cave, and if not for the messy kitchen utensils, it would be hard to believe that it was a kitchen. But other than that, there was nothing special about it. He still had no clue.
Finally, he came to the corridor. The large mullioned windows on both sides of the door let in some light, and he slowly groped his way up the stairs. The stone steps were covered with a thick layer of dust.
At the landing, he turned right and went straight to the top of the corridor. There was a slight gap between the door and the door.
"Looks like there are no more clues here, but that's to be expected." Malfoy comforted himself.
"But one day in the future, I can still disgust someone." He then stepped into the room and seemed to have chanted a few spells.
Soon, he was back at the entrance of the mansion.
"Old man, I'll let you sleep for a while and save your life." Malfoy looked at Frank and cast a Muggle Banishing Spell on the place, then left quickly.
"Oh, Maria is still waiting for me." Frank woke up with a splitting headache, but he suddenly remembered his first love. The flame of love burned in his dying life. He stumbled out of Liddell Manor and ran to the place in his memory. As for the Liddell Manor that had accompanied him for decades, he had long forgotten about it.
"Innocent old man, it's better to stay away from all this." Malfoy sighed as he watched Frank's back disappear into the distance.
"What happened just now was nothing, but it's different now." Malfoy perked up.
Based on his memory of the terrain, Malfoy arrived at a graveyard overgrown with weeds. He could see the black silhouette of a small church behind a tall yew tree on the right. On the left was a hill with an exquisite old house. Naturally, that was where Malfoy had gone.
The surroundings of the graveyard were gloomy, and from time to time, a few hair-raising crow caws could be heard, contrasting with a kind of frightening silence.
Malfoy stood before a tall marble tombstone.
Tom Marvolo Riddle
The strong wind whistled, and he couldn't help but shiver.
"Looks like I'll have to make a cameo appearance as a tomb raider today." Apparently, the eerie atmosphere did not affect Malfoy at all. He was even in the mood to mock himself.
He opened the black bag and placed a few pieces of beef bones on the ground.
"Obliterate!" Malfoy raised his wand and tapped the bones lightly, and they turned into a pile of powder.
Malfoy waved his wand again, and the tombstone was slowly moved away. He removed the mixture of soil and ashes from the grave, leaving behind about a third of it. He then replaced it with a new pile of debris that he had just created.
"Restore as before!" The tombstone slowly closed again. "Success!" Malfoy couldn't help but clap his hands, revealing a faint smile.
Malfoy continued on his way to Big Hangerton.
There was nothing else in sight, only tall hedges on both sides. He then turned right and walked towards a gap in the fence.
It was a long and narrow dirt road, and the hedges on both sides were taller and denser than the ones they had just passed. The dirt road was crooked, bumpy, and covered with rocks. Just like the path they had just taken, it seemed to lead to a small patch of dark forest below.
The ancient trees above cast a cold, dark, and dense shadow. A half-hidden house appeared in front of Malfoy's eyes. The trees blocked all the light and the valley below. The walls were covered in moss, and many of the tiles on the roof had fallen off, revealing the rafters inside. Dense nettles grew around the house, and the tall nettles reached the windows. The windows were very small and covered in a thick layer of old dirt.
There was a dead snake nailed to the door.
The whole house emitted a rotten smell, and there was also a powerful wave of black magic.
"Will as strong as iron!" Malfoy did not dare to be careless in the face of the first soul vessel he was about to face. He cast a spell to strengthen his will.
"Why is it that the spells I create are always supportive?" Malfoy felt a little helpless at the thought, but he still braced himself.
This soul tool was the one that killed Dumbledore.
Malfoy gently pushed open the door, and Marvolo's black gemstone ring lay quietly on the ground, as if it was easy for him to pick it up.
"Come and wear me, my master." Malfoy seemed to feel the ring speaking to him in a bewitching tone. "Don't you have any relatives who have passed away? Or friends? "The Black Devil's curse seemed to have a strange reaction with the Lifestone itself. "As long as you wear me, you will be able to see them."
"Come, wear me. I am one of the three Sacred Artifacts."
"Wear me, and you will be omnipotent! Control souls! "
Whether it was Slythrin's Locket or Liddell's Diary, they all had the power to bewitch people. This soul vessel was no exception. It would always evoke the deepest desires of people.
Malfoy felt dizzy. The voice was ethereal and ethereal, making him unconsciously feel at ease. There was a pleasant feeling of intimacy. Even if there was no need for it, Malfoy still wanted to pick it up and wear it.
Just as Malfoy bent down and was about to touch the ring, his body suddenly trembled violently. He curled up on the ground, his subconscious and conscious clearly starting to fight. Large beads of sweat rolled down from his head.
The magical voice echoed in his ears, "Come, wear me, and you will be the king of the world."
"But I don't care about being the king of the world!" He fought with all his might against the ring.
With his mind as the battlefield, his will as the elite soldier, he desperately resisted the pressure and temptation.
After an unknown amount of time, because to someone who was suffering, every second felt like a century.
Suddenly, Malfoy stopped trembling. The outcome of the battle had been decided. His clear eyes revealed the result of the battle.
"How terrifying. Even though I didn't miss the death of anyone, it still has such a powerful bewitching power. No wonder Old Deng fell for it." Malfoy touched his back, cold sweat dripping down. Caution was the parent of safety. Apart from his own willpower, the incantation just now was perhaps the most important weight in the balance of the war.
"But people can't indulge in illusory happiness forever." Malfoy seemed to have made up his mind.
He carefully and cautiously chanted the cryptic incantation, very softly and slowly.
Suddenly, a spark appeared in the void. It was a strange black flame.
"I wanted to bring it back for someone to study, but it's obviously not going to work," Malfoy thought. "With Old Deng's obsession with his sister, I don't think I have time to explain. A flying incantation will be the end of me."
"So, let me get rid of you here."
Malfoy tried his best to control the black flame to fly toward the ring. He had to be careful. He did not want to be burned to death like one of his followers.
Sizzle. When the black flame came into contact with the ring, Malfoy felt the ring begin to vibrate violently. A blood-like, viscous black substance seemed to seep out. An extremely weak and distant cry of pain came from within.
Boom. As if it had received some kind of accelerant, the black flame suddenly jumped up. It was about two meters tall and ferociously pounced on everything around it that could burn.
"This isn't fun at all." In the face of such a huge change, he only had one choice — run.
"Soul tools and sorcerer's stones. This is enough for him to burn." Malfoy had to admit that his reaction was fast. Before the fire spread, he had already escaped from the house.
Malfoy panted heavily as if he had just gone through a huge battle.
He looked at the wooden house engulfed in flames. Some of the flames even rubbed against the ancient trees, making crackling sounds. The scene of flames soaring into the sky made Malfoy absent-minded.
This was because he thought of a sentence from his previous life: "Set fire to a mountain and you'll be in jail forever."
