Chapter 115 - The Compound

4:03 p.m.

Temple of Priests Private Compound, Luxen City.

Vivian stepped inside the Blacksmith Shop with her broken poleaxe on her hands.

As she headed to the counter, there was a White Cloak Priestess in her mid-20s behind it. And based on what remember, there were two shopkeepers in this shop -- a Priest in his early 30s and a Priestess in her mid-20s, both of which were White Cloaks.

And if Vivian was listening, she would know that their names were Sike and Grace.

The Priest isn't around…?

Although Vivian doesn't really like to play with the gender, race and other victim cards which was prevalent in her original world, even she could admit that there were some undeniable truths in them. And when it comes to equipment or anything that deals with hardware, she preferred to talk to a man because men tend to be more interested or knowledgeable in such things.

She glanced around.

Maybe he's out for a break…?

She returned her attention to the counter.

Can I ask for him…?

She finally arrived in front of Grace.

Lord help me...

The Priestess smiled at her.

"Good afternoon, sister. How may I help you?"

Vivian placed the broken pieces of her poleaxe on top of the counter.

"Can I have this repaired?"

Grace threw the broken weapon a quick glance and then returned her gaze to Vivian.

"Of course. The price would be 3 silver coins and it would take 1-3 days."

"I see."

Vivian took out some coins from her coin pouch and placed 2 silver and 10 copper coins on top of the counter.

Grace gathered the coins and placed them on the cashier. After that, she took out two pieces of paper and wrote a couple of things there before presenting them along with a pen to Vivian.

"Please sign these, sister."

Vivian received the pen and signed where Grace was pointing.

After Vivian signed the papers, Grace took out an oblong-shaped green crystal that was as large as an adult's head.

"Please touch the Memory Crystal."

Both Vivian and Grace touched the crystal and it emitted a faint glow.

Grace then gave the other paper to Vivian.

"That one would be your copy and the other one would be the shop's copy. Once your weapon has been repaired, you can come here and claim it by presenting that note."

That was fast…

Hopefully, this woman can deliver...

Vivian nodded.

"I see. Thank you," she said and smiled.

Grace nodded as well.

"You're welcome, sister," she said and smiled back. "Can I help you with anything else?"

Vivian thought about it for a moment.

"Last time I was here to check my physical strength -- or force -- to determine what's the appropriate Metal Grade I should use. Can I do another check?"

Grace nodded.

"Of course," she said before taking out an item underneath the counter and then placing it on top.

"What was this item called again?"

"Physical Force Crystal or Power Force Crystal."

The Physical Force Crystal looked like the Class Crystal, at least when it came to its shiny metal-like texture. The only difference was that it was shaped into a rod about 10 inches long.

"I see. And I just have to hold it and then cast a Physical Art on it, right?"

Grace nodded.

"Yes."

Vivian picked up the rod.

[Power Fist].

The rod emitted a white glow and her brows knitted together.

The glow is brighter compared to last time…

She put down the rod or crystal and it stopped shining.

"So sister, what is my Physical Force?"

"Sorry, but can you do it once again?"

"Sure."

Vivian picked up the rod once more and activated a skill.

"You can put it down now, sister," Grace said.

Vivian placed the rod down.

"Based on the glow, I feel like your Physical Force is around Mithril," the Priestess said.

Vivian suppressed the urge to raise an eyebrow.

'You feel like'…?

She shook her head mentally.

Whatever...

Hmm...

The last time I came here to check my Physical Force...

I believe it was Silver…

But what was my stats again when it was Silver…?

Around 60…?

Or was it 70…?

I can't remember the exact number…

She thought deeply but gave up in the end.

Anyhow…

Looks like there's no point of me using Silver-Grade weapons anymore…

"By the way, how much is a Mithril-Grade weapon?"

"If it doesn't have any Magic Effect, then around 10 gold coins. If it has one Magic Effect, 50 gold coins. If it has two Magic Effects, 500 gold coins. And for Mithril-Grade weapons with three Magic Effects, you will have to negotiate with someone from the Temple of Blacksmiths."

Mithril-Grade weapon without any Magic Effect is 10 gold coins…?

"And if I were to buy it with a loan, there's an additional fee, right?"

Grace nodded.

"Yes."

Just like my Earring of Spirit...

From 50 gold coins to 60 gold coins…

The only Mithril-Grade weapon I have is that sword that Marie gave me…

My finances aren't keeping up with my strength…

Instead of getting richer, I'm only getting poorer…

I need to find a way to earn quicker…

Vivian thought about the clients and Adventurers she rejected.

No, they can't help me…

Our goals, schedules and strength doesn't match…

Also, I have the [Nemesis of Beasts]…

"Sister, I have a question. Since there's a Physical Force Crystal, is there also a Magic Force Crystal?"

"Of course."

"Can I try it?"

"Of course."

Grace took out another rod underneath the counter and then placed it on top.

The Magic Force Crystal looked exactly like the Physical Force Crystal except for one thing: The RRune engraved at one of the ends.

Vivian picked it up.

"And I just have to imagine that casting a Magic Art spell, right?"

"Yes."

[Lighting Arrow].

The rod emitted the same glow as the Power Force Crystal.

It looks the same I guess…

Does this mean it's also Mithril…?

Vivian turned to Grace.

"So what's my Magic Force?"

"It's Mithril, sister."

"Just out of curiosity, sister. What's the average Physical Force and Magic Force for someone my age?"

"If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?"

"24."

"Oh, we're about the same age," the Priestess said and then thought about it for a moment. "Without considering the Magic Art Affinities and only considering our Brothers and Sisters, I would say that the average Physical and Magic Force for that age is between Mithril and Orichalcum."

Between Mithril and Orichalcum…

And both my Physical and Magic Force are Mithril…

Still so weak…

Still so pathetic…

"So your Physical Force and Magic Force is between Mithril and Orichalcum?"

Grace hesitated.

What Vivian didn't know was that in this world, it was considered rude to ask someone their Physical and Magic Force, their Magic Art Affinities, and the Physical and Magic Arts they possessed.

It would be like asking a man how much money they make or asking a woman how many sexual partners they've had. There might be some people who wouldn't mind divulging such information, but a majority would.

But seeing Vivian's facial expression that told her that she wasn't asking out of a malice, in the end, she nodded.

"Yes, Mithril-Orichalcum."

Mithril-Orichalcum…

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but the sequence from lowest to highest is Iron, Silver, Mithril, Orichalcum, Adamantite and the legendary metals?"

"Yes, it's Iron, Silver, Mithril, Orichalcum, Adamantite, Rainbow Steel and Spirit Steel."

Rainbow Steel and Spirit Steel…

And the average Physical Force and Magic Force for my age is between Mithril and Orichalcum or Mithril-Orichalcum…

If I want to consider myself strong…

And also win the Ranking Match to get the free armor…

I need to at least be Spirit Steel…

"Sister, what's the average age of someone whose Physical Force and Magic Force is at Spirit Steel?"

Grace blinked a couple of times.

"To reach Spirit Steel, one must at least have 2 Magic Art Affinities and master all 2 Magic Art Affinities and 4 Physical Art Affinities. And to complete all of that, you will at least be in your 40s."

Vivian's jaw dropped.

"At least be in my 40s to reach Spirit Steel…?"

Grace nodded.

"Yes, it's not easy. And that's assuming the person has been training diligently."

"Is Spirit Steel the highest Physical Force and Magic Force a person can reach?"

Grace shook her head.

"No, but for someone who only has 2 Magic Art Affinities, Spirit Steel is the highest Magic Force they can reach. Only those who have 3 or more Magic Art Affinities can go beyond Spirit Steel Magic Force. However, they would still need to dedicate a lot of years training. And if a Brother or Sister reaches beyond Spirit Steel and is a Gold Cloak, they're eligible to become a Gray Cloak."

"I see. And what's beyond Spirit Steel?"

"I don't know much because information on those levels are kept as a secret. All I know is that those who have reached beyond Spirit Steel are obligated to join and follow the DG International Laws."

So even when I reach that Spirit Steel…

I would only have more eyes on me, huh…

Fuck…

Whoever thought that being transported or transmigrated to another world would be a safe and smooth sailing journey is a complete idiot…

I can only imagine what would happen to me if they learned all of my secrets…

I mean, if I were in their shoes and I found out that someone came from another world…

Regardless if they have cheat-like powers or not, I'm still going to capture them and then extract all information from them, even if it means physically experimenting on them…
