Axel waited for the system to provide another update, but instead it just minimized itself and closed.
"....that's it? No new ability? No slayer grade increase? Nothing??" Axel said frustrated.
Iris closed her display. "What, did you think you could slay a bunch of C rank angels and fly up the rankings?" She said in a mocking tone. "I didn't rank up at all and you don't see me whining." Axel shot her a glare.
"Ugh, I just don't wanna have to start at the freaking bottom when I KNOW I had to be at least A rank before Conquest's seal. Why can't they just base my rank off that?"
Iris decided to ignore him. She instead looked to a crudely made flyer that was slapped on the outside of one of the shops. It read: 'Want to know the truth? The Divine Cult is full of people just like you. Join today.' Just seeing the name of that cult was enough to make Iris want to vomit in her mouth - she can still see all of the followers offing themselves when she closes her eyes for too long.
