Today its another day.
Take On The Night, Chapter 12, Choices.
Shiro is the first to wake up, as always.
Its 6 PM, so he does the usual, clean, feed Yoru, and eat breakfast.
Time flies by as he plays videogames, its already 7 PM, so he decides to go outside for a bit, just to clear his mind, and maybe buy something on the way...
As he's out, his phone starts ringing, a strange thing, as he doesnt have much friends...
He picks it up, and to his surprise...
"Shiro, its me, Kuro, i need you to come by this location."
Shiro was surprised, how did Kuro even have his phone number? And why would he give him a location to go to after all that happened?
With doubt, Shiro agrees to go, knowing that it could be a trap, but he decides to trust Kuro...
He ends up at a house, pretty normal place, when he rings the bell, Kuro opens the door, inviting him to come in.
Shiro is in a defensive state, he knows that Kuro would kill him without a doubt...
"Listen, we're here to talk about Mayu, grab a seat."
After hearing that, Shiro got a lot of questions in his mind again, why does he want to talk about Mayu? Is this REALLY a trap?, but he agrees to Kuro, and sits down at the table with him.
Kuro pours tea for the both of them, and begins talking.
He explains to Shiro that, Mayu has a dangerous power within her, the "White Flash", is what they call it, he also tells him that some vampires have special abilities, and that he must avoid them.
At this point, Shiro is just pure confusion, why is he warning him about this? Isnt him his enemy?
"Oh, and how's Mayu doing? When we fought she seemed different, are you treating her well?"
Again, Shiro gets a lot of questions, but then he remembers something that Kuro said, he said that they were like family...
It just, clicks, Kuro must be someone related to Mayu, that's why he's asking so many questions...
Shiro thinks about what could he possibly be, and so he finally speaks.
"Kuro, are you Mayu's brother or something by any chance?"
Kuro's expression changed instantly, from confident to afraid, in just a second, he didnt think that Shiro would guess that...
"Yes... But what does it have to do with any of this?"
As he thought, Kuro was Mayu's brother, then, Shiro starts questioning Kuro about the fights they had, he asks him about why are they after Mayu, but for now, that's secret.
Kuro explains that Mayu is weird, even for a vampire, she has always been different from the others, which led her to be the rebellious girl she is now, totally out of their control...
"But, anyway Shiro, you must choose." says Kuro, changing his expression to being a lot more serious
Mayu is dangerous, she has abilities that no other vampire has right now, like the white flash that she used when they fought, and only god knows what else she has under the sleeve.
Now Shiro must choose, stay together with Mayu, but be a target, or distance from her and be protected by all vampires, a hard choice, a life or death situation.
Shiro thinks, Mayu is his friend, he cant betray her, but if she is truly like Kuro says, then, its better to stay away...
He clears his head of all doubt, and answers the question.
"I choose..."
