CHAPTER 92: ARE YOU STILL ANGRY AT ME HUBBY
Jared was already at home before they arrived. As soon as he spotted his grandma, he rushed to her side and hugged her tightly. Suzanne laughed, returning the hug.
"Grandma," Jared cooed.
Suzanne looked at her grandson with a mixture of love and concern. "I see your brother's been taking care of you very well, eh?"
"You wish, Grandma," Jared responded childishly.
Diana emerged from the car with the help of her husband and stood beside Suzanne.
Suzanne let go of Jared and held onto Diana. Her gaze softened as she took in Diana's pale complexion. "Let's go inside, daughter. You'll feel better once you lie down." she suggested, her voice gentle.
Jared looked at his grandma as they walked inside. "Grandma, did something happen to my sister-in-law? She looks pale"
Suzanne nodded solemnly. "She was ill on the way here. Threw up everything."
"Oh dear," Jared moaned. He went to support Diana on her other side, but James stopped him with a hand on his shoulder. Jared turned to look at his brother, only to be met with a deathly glare. He swallowed and retreated quickly.
Diana suddenly stopped and looked at her husband. "Treasure, can you carry me? My legs feel heavy."
"Sure," James responded and swept her off her feet. Suzanne smiled as she held onto Jared and they went inside.
James carried Diana to their room, laying her gently on the bed and tucking her in. "Rest," he whispered, kissing her forehead.
"Are you still angry at me?" Diana held onto his hands and asked as he was about to turn away.
"Go to bed, Cherish," James said and walked out of the room.
Diana bit her lip as hot tears pooled in her eyes. She tried to blink them back and quickly drifted off to sleep, the tiredness too much for her to bear.
James went downstairs and met his grandma and Jared. "Nik, prepare a place for my grandma to stay in one of the villas."
"Okay, sir," Nik responded and bowed.
Suzanne looked at her grandson. She understood that he and his wife needed their privacy but still felt bad about not being able to stay with them, so she asked, "Is it far from here?"
"No, Grandma, just two blocks away," Jared responded. "I stay a block away on most days," he grinned and nodded.
Suzanne smiled and nodded in return.
