Chapter 80 - CHAPTER 79: PREGNANCY LESSONS II

CHAPTER 79: PREGNANCY LESSONS II

"The pregnancy is still in its early stages" Harry, explained gently.

"So I advise you both to be very careful and take things easy when having sex. Especially you, James," he added with a wink, causing Diana to blush.

"Too much of it can increase the risk of miscarriage at this point. Keep in mind that a large part of any changes in her behavior is due to the pregnancy".

"A big part of the hormonal rollercoaster," Harry confirmed. "Babies are demanding tenants, even before they arrive."

A mischievous glint appeared in James's eyes. "So that explains the… sudden aversion to some certain food? Don't think i didn't know. Nic gave me updates" He smirked at the look of surprise she gave him.

Diana swatted him playfully. "Not funny, James!"

Harry chuckled. "Exactly. But you're lucky, Diana. You seem to be taking it in stride."

"Oh, and one more thing I feel I should warn you about: little things can easily piss them off. So, be careful if you don't want your head bitten off. Unless, of course, your wife is naturally calm, which I doubt".

'Well, I'm not that bad,' Diana interjected, trying to defend herself.

Harry chuckled. "Let's just say, little things might get magnified." He winked at James. "Be warned."

James grinned, the worry momentarily forgotten. He knew Diana's quirks, and this only strengthened his resolve to support her.

Harry turned to her. "I'll give you medicines...'"As soon as he mentioned medicines, Diana made a gesture of throwing up, causing James to laugh and Harry to look at her strangely.

James smirked at Harry's puzzled expression. ''She hates medicines.'"

''Well, you have to make sure she takes them so the baby will grow well. Unless you want him or her to have deficiencies or be disfigured,'' Harry responded.

''I will,'' James assured him.

Diana rolled her eyes, knowing he would definitely do his job well.

''As I was saying,'' Harry continued, ''I will give you medications to help with the morning sickness. Trust me, it gets worse—the fever, fainting, and all the works.''

''You mean I will go through all that?'' Diana asked, bewildered.

''Yes, and more. This is just the beginning. But if you take your medicines faithfully and regularly, it will be reduced. That's the essence of the drugs. It gets worse, Diana".

"But trust me," Harry continued, "it's worth it. The discomfort pales in comparison to holding your child for the first time".

"When they are finally out, and you see them, you will know all your suffering was worth it, which makes you love them more. There isn't love without sacrifice. It's your first pregnancy, so you need to be dedicated to it, and I mean both of you. I'll be here to guide you along the way".

"Remember, it's a marathon, not a sprint. Take care of yourselves, take care of each other, and don't hesitate to ask questions."

"By the end of this month, come in for a scan"

Hope bloomed in Diana's eyes. "We can hear the heartbeat at the end of the month, right?"

"Absolutely," Harry confirmed. "That's something truly special."

"Which will also make me two months, right?'' Diana asked again.

"Exactly." Harry paused, a playful glint in his eyes. "And one other thing – talk to the little one! Sing, read, whatever feels natural. It might sound silly, but research shows it helps with their development. After the scan, I will tell you the next steps".

James and Diana exchanged a warm smile. This tiny miracle growing inside Diana was already bringing them closer. Harry's final instructions provided a roadmap for the exciting, challenging months ahead.

Diana's hand instinctively fluttered to her stomach again, a silent promise to the tiny life growing within.
