Just as Hestia was about to move forward and embrace her son, she hesitated, wondering if Jayden was angry at her or believed that she had abandoned him. So, she could only wait for him to speak.
"Uh, it's good to see you… Mom," Jayden said, finding it a bit awkward to refer to her like that. After meeting his mother in such a long time, he was finding it a bit weird.
But on the other hand, as soon as Jayden spoke, Hestia's heart leaped in happiness.
She was finally sure that he wasn't angry with her or anything. Knowing the circumstances, there wasn't much she could have done; just being able to survive till now seemed like an impossible task.
Her eyes filled with tears as she caressed Jayden's face before embracing him, sobbing slightly and feeling bad that she wasn't able to see him grow up. Jayden had such a difficult childhood, and he struggled a lot just to survive. It pained her heart knowing that her son had to go through all that.
