He Yiyue and mother He, came towards Madam Lu and Cheng Yinan.
" Hello Aunt Lu, Aunt Jun, Miss Cheng " He Yiyue greeted with a smile. " How are you Yiyue " Madam Lu asked her glad to see her.
" I've been good Aunt " she replied politely.
Cheng Yinan recognized the lady as the one who visited Lu Muchen and was giving him weird looks. " Miss Cheng, I didn't expect to see you here " He Yiyue turned to Cheng Yinan and said. Cheng Yinan smiled not knowing how to reply to her. She looked away and found a familiar figure and smiled.
She excused herself and left. She gently tapped the shoulders of an elegant looking lady. As the lady turned and faced her, she raised an eyebrow.
" Miss Cheng, what are doing in this kind of place " the lady asked. " What do you mean by that Miss Yang " Cheng Yinan said pretending like she was annoyed. The two friends looked at each other and giggled at their interaction.
Cheng Yinan proceeded to hug her lightly.
" How are you Mrs. Lu " Yang Ruoxi ask teasingly. " Not yet, please " she refuted.
They exhaled quite heavily at the same time, making them look at each other and smiling.
" So spill it what happened between you and Mr. Lu " Yang Ruoxi asked eager to hear all the details. " Not much really, but I think I really want to give this marriage a chance, I simply can't find any fault in him " Cheng Yinan said in a go. Yang Ruoxi giggled feeling happy that her best friend was getting herself in to something good.
Cheng Yuxi noticed the two friends talking and walked towards them.
" oh I was wondering where that heavy stench was coming from, turns out it from you guys " she insulted them with a smile. Yang Ruoxi charged towards her but Cheng Yinan blocked her way. " Am sorry but the stench is coming from you instead " Cheng Yinan said, even though it wasn't her best insult but she has to do with it for the mean time.
Cheng Yinan felt annoyed that her insult was directed towards herself. She scoffed and glared at them. She quickly regained herself and said " whatever, anyway, what are you doing here " . Nobody answered her instead, Yang Ruoxi asked Cheng Yinan " Do you want to go somewhere else ". " That would be very much appreciated " Cheng Yinan said and they walked away from the fuming Cheng Yuxi.
The friends went to stand somewhere else, observing what was happening in the banquet. He Yiyue walked towards them with two will wine glasses in her hands.
" Hi again Miss Cheng , I just want to toast to you for your engagement to Bro Chen " He Yiyue said with a relatively loud voice. Her loud voice brought attention towards them.
Cheng Yinan frowned but still smiled. As she was about to receive the wine glass , He Yiyue came closer and pretended to have tripped and spilled the wine on Cheng Yinan.
Luckily, Cheng Yinan was fast enough to dodge but some of the wine still ended up pouring on the wavy lower part of her white gown. Everybody felt sorry for the beautiful dress that was ruined. " Oh am sorry, am really really sorry " He Yiyue said with a guilty expression.
" No worries, I'll take care of it " Cheng Yinan said and walked out of the hall. Madam Lu and Yang Ruoxi followed after her.
Cheng Yuxi and He Yiyue were smiling to themselves. ' Now let's see who's night is ruined " they both thought to themselves.
Cheng Yinan had also asked a waiter to take her to one of the rooms so she could take care if her dress. Before that, she asked the waiter to give her a scissors.
When Madam Lu saw what the waiter brought, she was confused and started panicking. Yang Ruoxi who had an idea on what Cheng Yinan was up to kept assuring Madam Lu but she couldn't say anything since she wasn't fully sure.
Madam Lu picked her phone and called her son. She informed her son on what had transpired.
