Princess Amaya had one arm resting limply in her lap while the other cradled her head against the window as the car hummed along the highway.
The white broken vertical lines on the highway, awashed by bright yellow light from their headlights, the low, constant murmur of the engine, and the rhythmic thrum of the tires on the asphalt, created a soothing lullaby that pulled the princes deeper into drowsiness. Her eyelids fluttered, heavy with fatigue, struggling to stay open.
Suddenly, the car veered to the left. The inertia threw her body to the left, but the seat belt restrained her.
The princess jolted, and her drowsiness was gone.
"What happened?" She asked anxiously.
"Vehicles are coming after us, and a helicopter is above us, " the man on her left said calmly and unperturbed.
Only then did Princess Amaya hear the roar of engines above them. A thunderous beat filled the air, the unmistakable sound of helicopter blades slicing through the sky.
