A blank look was etched into his face as he sat on the sandy shore.
Sipping from a wooden cup, Melech glanced over at the confused human.
He chuckled,
"You seem spooked."
Cain glanced over blankly, then frowned,
"Who wouldn't be?"
Melech shook his head, "You offer a good point."
He then grinned,
"Quite frankly, I now see why a human like you caught her eye."
Cain's frown deepened, "I told you before. I didn't catch the eye of your goddess. I merely put my nose into something that was not of my concern. Nothing more."
Melech only smiled, not speaking more on that.
Instead, his smile turned deeper and strange,
"So, how was it?"
Cain pursed his lips,
"Familiar and not at the same time."
Melech nodded approvingly, "That sensation is right. You did infact come in contact with your Soul Sea. Well done, or rather, congratulations."
Cain grimaced, "It seems a bit... Odd."
He locked eyes with the old Devil, his own eyes narrowed,
"Did you set this up intentionally?"
