Chapter 23 - chapter Twenty.two

"We need to go..". Elijah whispered in my ear. I nodded, standing up making his arms lose their grip as they slip from my waist.

"I suppose we should, class must of already started." I smiled slightly looking up at him.

Elijah returns it standing up as well. We both walk side by side to each other while putting his arm around my shoulder.

I don't deserve this. I really don't, he done to much for me but I didn't do enough for him. I didn't even come back when my own father took me away from him that day.

Which reminds me, that happened a couple of weeks ago. My gosh. How can it already been a few weeks since my own father came and got me from Elijah's own place and took me back to school.

Especially that fateful day where me and Elijah first meet and I can't believe it's been that long since then.

"Elijah." I spoke his name in a hoarse voice. "Mm," he hummed in reply glancing down at my 'short' height.

Yes I am very tiny compared to him. It's embarrassing. "I knew it was you that saved me, that night.." I mattered out while looking away, afraid on what he'll say or even think for that mattered. He was quiet after I said that. His eyes shifting down towards me and I took a glance up at him and waited for him to answer. After a while of no words spoken, his mouth gasps open. "H-how did you realise it was me, perhaps it was someone else." He stutters in between his sentence, looking away as he swallowed

"No, it was you. You almost tired to kill me when you had turned, remember?." Shaking my head, and gave him a frown. Unless he couldn't remember cause he was so out of it. "I-" Elijah sighs and nods, answering my question. I nod also at him, "So it was true then. You were definitely the one that saved me for that men that time," I asked and nodded without saying a word.

"I'm so sorry" he whispered looking down at the ground. I frowned, "why are you sorry. You didn't know, you didn't course this Elijah. It wasn't your fault and you didn't hurt me when you were half turning. I'm perfectly fine." I say stopping in my step while grabbing Elijah's face in my palms and creasing his cheek with my thumb.

He look into my eyes as I searched his. His eyes were memorising, they were beautiful and still are, ever since I laid my eyes on them.

I smiled, he truly is something. I grab his arm before we both walk back to class. We were late of course, but it seems the teacher was as well. Which made me frown at bit but it didn't bother me as much. Elijah and I took the two back seats and we both sat down.

Once we took our seats the teacher came in and the class stared. I took a quick glance at Elijah and we both smiled at one another. I looked around the room and saw Adam seated near the other side of the room at the back. His back was towards me but I can tell he was with a blonde girl. 'Eh, he always goes for blondes'. I grinch to myself. I seen the girl look my way and before she could see me I quickly look towards the front.

I mean I can't talk cause I'm a brunette, but still. His a player in disguise. I'm glad he cheated, but I'm also hurt by it. I shook my head slightly to them thoughts out. Sighing, I felt an arm place at the back my chair. A smug expression went on my face, as I leaned on my elbow on the desk to get a better view of the smart-board.

Five minutes later into the lesson. I felt two pairs of eyes staring right at my face. So, I shifted the to a pair of blue eyes and have a guess who they belonged too. Yelp, non-other the Adam himself. He was giving me a glare, but I rolled my eyes in a sarcastic way and glance back the front.

I can tell by the corner of my eye that Adam had a frown on his face. Probably because he didn't understand the situation that happened, but too bad too sad in my opinion. He was the one that did not me. He can go kiss as many girls he wants but I got one to my left, so I'm fine without him.

The bell went signalling that class is over. Thank the heavens. I pack up my things and placing my items in my bag before glancing at Elijah. What I didn't realise was his eyes. They were glowing a golden yellow.

I gape at him. My heart sank to my stomach as I slowly grip his hand in my own and mattered, "Elijah, please calm down. Y-your eyes are glowing." I told him and he glances at me. I gasps, seeing sharp teeth appear. 'Oh no.'.
