Chapter 1 - Prologue

"Amira, you've completed your task. What will you choose now, my dear?"The voice is calm, wrapped in sweetness — a balm for her frightened, tangled heart.

"Where... where am I? Am I dead? Who are you?"Her voice is faint, still heavy with confusion. The sharp pain she felt — in her body, her mind — is fading, dissolving like mist. Her thoughts begin to clear, like clouds parting after a storm. She looks around, trying to find the source of the voice.

"Your life and death lie in your hands, Amira. You chose to return to the world once before. Now, the choice is yours again — come back to me, or go back to him. Don't search for me with your eyes. You cannot see me. Close them... feel instead. You'll understand."

Obediently, Amira shuts her eyes. And then — a flood. Memories crash through her like waves: moments from this life, the one before it, all laid bare. Each heartbeat, each breath, every emotion — raw and vivid as the day they first happened. It's not just remembering. It's reliving.

Her spine straightens. Her chin lifts, almost unconsciously.

"Dear God... thank you. Thank you for giving me the chance to make things right. I've done everything I came to do. All of it — because of you."

"Your path has always been yours to choose, my dear. I have no say over your actions on Earth. And you chose well — though I know it wasn't easy. Now comes the final choice. But hurry... your body cannot wait much longer. Soon, it will be too late to return."

Her earthly body still lies in the hospital — slipping away. But it was her choice. And even if she could go back, she wouldn't change a thing. Her sacrifice saved others. It gave them a chance at joy, at closure, at dreams fulfilled instead of shattered.

She remembers the pain. God, how it hurt. The moment before she came here — to this palace of light, this sanctuary sculpted from clouds and silence.

A moment ago, she was begging for death. But now that it's within her reach — now that the power to choose is truly hers —she hesitates.

The Mistake That Broke the World

The sky wept ash and embers the day the queen fell.

Once, there was a palace carved of moonlight and stone, standing tall above the world like a forgotten god. Its halls echoed with music and blood. Its throne bore the weight of sacrifice.

Amira stood at the heart of it—barefoot, veiled in sorrow—her crown slipping down a head bowed not in defeat, but in guilt. Around her, the whispers of a dying empire curled like smoke.

And he—Arden, the king who loved her more than the stars—watched it all unravel. The blade meant for another tore through his chest, not by the hands of an enemy, but by one he once swore to protect.

It was not hate that killed him.

It was love twisted into desperation.

He searched the ends of the earth for an elixir, for time, for the power to hold her forever. He found it… but not the truth. Not the price. And when she died in his arms—eyes glassy, smile trembling—he thought he could follow.

But eternity isn't merciful.

And some mistakes echo louder than death.

Now, the world is ending again.

Only this time, the gods are watching. And one soul has been sent back—not for revenge, not for redemption, but for a single chance.

To choose differently.
