Chapter 96 - Chapter 96

Trixy picked out her least ripped-up jeans and the plainest T-shirt she owned. She shook her head at her wardrobe when it dawned on her that this was her new life. She needed new clothes that would show her new position as the mate of Goldmoon's Beta. Sam came up behind her, wrapping his arms around her body partitially dressed in her black satin boys shorts and matching bra, one hand cupping her boob. She felt her skin prickle at his touch, and with him gently nibbling on her neck, right at her mate mark, her legs grew weak. Sam turning her pliable body to the full-lenght mirror in the closet, smirked as he took in her hooded eyes, the rise and fall of her chest as he twirled one nipple through the slinky material and continued to lovingly suck and nibble on her neck. A small moan escaped her lips, and she began rubbing her hips against his erection. Sam gave her one last kiss on her mark before pulling away. Her body drifted, so he reached out a hand to steady her. She turned her head to him, blinking away the arousal in her eyes. "Why did you stop?" she shook her head, trying to clear the haze of desire his touch always so easily roused in her, "No, the better question is why did you start?"

Sam chuckled, stepping closer, he cupped her face, lightly tracing his thumb across her bottom lip. "Because you seemed tense, and I need you to relax. You're not in trouble, I swear. Alpha Bradley just wants to get to know you, plus I think he has a few questions for you concerning your realm." Trixy squared her shoulders, "Can Bruno come as well?" she asked, wanting her twin's support, especially if it concerns their original home. Sam's eyes clouded over as he linked with Bradley. A few moments later, Sam nodded. "Alpha said that's fine. I already told someone to inform him. Trixy smiled and turned, getting dressed. Soon, the two of them headed downstairs, where Bradley had planned for them to have breakfast together in the larger morning room. It was built for when the Alpha had distinguished guests staying, and he wanted to have an informal meeting or perhaps a brunch setting. When they entered the room set up buffet style, Bradley was already there with Trishanna and an older lady, Trixy, glimpsed a few times. She didn't know much, but the way a lot of the people in the pack always slightly bowed their heads, she knew that this old lady was important. Both ladies were sitting on the window seat with Bradley standing close by. The door opened, and James strode in, making a beeline for Trishanna. She stood with Bradley's help, her belly very large and seeming to be pulling her to the ground. She took a few steps before James had her in a bear hug, kissing her face before finding her lips. The two kissed, soft and sweet, before pulling back slightly to look at each other, their eyes tracing invisible paths over each other's faces. James's hand slowly moved to her belly, and when he had looked his fill, he leaned down, kissing her belly, whispering something to the pup that made Trishanna chuckle. The scene was lovely, and Trixy's glance at Bradley showed that there was not a flicker of jealousy. He seemed quite content accepting the fact that he shared his mate. The older woman's hand went to his arm in alarm, but Bradley just covered her hand with his own, a reassuring smile on his face.

The next couple to enter was Dr. Lornezo with his pregnant mate, closely followed by Samuel and his mate, a young woman, also sporting a baby bump. Trixy's hand went to her own flat stomach, wondering if that would be her one day. Bruno appeared soon after, and with that, Bradley clapped his hands to get everyone's attention.

"Okay, everybody, thank you all for being here. This meeting is important to me as it concerns my mate and future Luna, not only of Goldmoon, but Bloodmoon as well." Most people nodded in agreement, already knowing that Trishanna was mated to both men. "This might be a bit heavy, so how bout we all grab our breakfast and head to the table. It's informal, so we can eat and talk." Everyone made their way to the table, a queue forming. Bruno came up to her, kissing her on the cheek. He nodded to Sam and then turned his eyes back to his twin. "Do you know why I'm here?" he asked in a whisper. She smiled, "Because I asked you to be here. Now that I'm mated to Sam, I think it's fine to let these people know more about me, about us and where we and the Luna came from." Bruno nodded, yet Trixy could see that he seemed distracted. She placed a reassuring hand on his arm, "Hey, it'll be fine. I trust my mate." At her mention of the word, Bruno's eyes went to hers, his hand coming up to rub at his chest. He smiled, not wanting to worry her, "I believe you, sis. I think this will be our new home." He patted her head before walking off to get his plate. A worried look crossed her face, but Sam's voice brought her back from her musing. Something was going on with her brother, and she felt bad that it took her so long to notice. "Let's grab breakfast."

They made their way to the table, bringing up the rear. There was an assortment of food, from bacon, eggs, boiled, scrambled and made into omelettes, toast, sausage, muffins, butter, jams, tea, coffee, juice, fruit and fresh salad, and even hash browns. Everyone piled their plates and made their way to the table. Bradley sat at the head, Trishanna on his right and the older woman on his left. James sat next to Trishanna, and on the other side, the young lady and Samuel sat next to the elder. The doctor with his mate sat next to James, and Sam sat at the other end, with Trixy on his side, leaving one space for Bruno to sit between his sister and Sammy. Bradley signalled for everyone to start eating, and for a while, all that was heard were the sounds of the food being devoured. Wolves burn a lot of calories, and replenishing is a serious business.

When the sounds of cutlery lightly scraping against the plates slowed, Bradley wiped his mouth and cleared his throat. "Okay, I'm sure you all have some idea of why you're here, but I wanted everyone to be on the same page. Remember that whatever is shared in this room is confidential, and anyone who leaks it will face the consequences". His eyes moved around the table, holding each person's gaze until he was sure that they all understood the gravity of the situation. He nodded, satisfied and asked everyone to introduce themselves before he began to share all that he had learnt over the past weeks, with Trishanna answering any questions and referring to Trixy when she needed more info on their homeland. It was an informal atmosphere, making Trixy relax. She knew a lot thanks to the books in her special library. They were all amazed when she waved her hand and retrieved a book, making Elder Cynthia's eyes widen in delight. She is always interested in learning, the doctor as well.

Bradley spoke, "The reason why I really called this meeting is because something happened a few days ago with Trishanna". He cocked his head to her and she cleared her throat before share her experience. "A few days ago, as I was getting ready, I swore I could hear my pup call out to me. My wolf couldn't say if that was normal, but I haven't heard anything else, and both she and Lorenzo say my pup is fine. In fact, when I first got pregnant, there were concerns about my body, being labelled an omega at the time, would be able to give birth and that the chances of having an omega child were high. However, since gaining my wolf, things have changed, and my pup has grown in the last few weeks." She turned to Trixy and Bruno, "I guess I wanted to know more about pregnancies in our realm, and if I was just losing my mind or if it was wishful thinking?" Trixy and Bruno shared a look, one only twins understand. At his sigh and nod, Trixy squeezed his hand in appreciation. She stood and stepped back from the table.

"To be honest, Luna," she stated, " I haven't done much research on pregnancy". She paused, looking at Trishanna's baby bump and the others around the table. She wanted to touch her stomach, but clenched her fist to stay focused. Maybe showing them more of her power will help her find out if she can have children as well. She glanced at her mate, his smile comforting the nerves she was feeling. She straightened her shoulders and took another step back, she was going to need a lot of space. Closing her eyes, she muttered under her breath, and soon a purple light emanated from her clasped hands. Her eyes opened, a similar purple hue in them, and she spread her arms wide. The light shot out, surrounding her, and soon a large portal appeared behind her, a sort of doorway leading to her special library. She smiled, "So how bout we all find out together? She reached out for Sam, who stood in awe of his mate and followed her inside, Bruno at his heels. Everyone was shocked, but so soon stood to enter the space.

It was much larger than any of them could fathom, their mouths hanging open in awe. With a wave, a light pink mist settled on them, and they wondered what that was about. Trixy chuckled, "Don't panic, I just lightly coated you with some of my power. This way, instead of you wandering around looking for a particular book on a particular subject, the book will look for you." At their looks of confusion, she clarified, "Just think of the subject you want to know or the knowledge you want to find, and any book containing it will come to you. The more specific you are, the better chance you have of receiving the right book." She waved her hand, and some comfortable seating appeared. James helped Trishanna settle in one and she moaned at the softness.

"This feels like sitting on a cloud. Forget the book, I want this couch." A foot stool appeared, and she placed her feet on it, another moan escaping. Bruno chuckled, "Yes, these are very comfortable. I have spent many nights resting here after intense training while my sister lost herself in her learning. That is why she is so great at managing this place. They were all wandering around, and soon books began floating off the shelves towards them. They would stop in front of someone and when the person opened their hands, the book would gently fall into them, some even flipping open to the relevant pages. Lorenzo was in his delight. A pile of books was next to him. Elder Cynthia was no better, both of their thirst for knowledge shining through.

James, Bradley and Trishanna seemed focused as they skimmed through books, sometimes shaking their heads when the book didn't hold the information they sought or sharing with each other when it did. It was a cosy atmosphere and Trixy was glad that she opened up herself like this. Elder Cynthia had a question, "My dear, can we take any ot these books out of your marvellous library? There are so many ancient texts that I will be entertained for days". Trixy tapped one finger against her cheek. I'm not sure. I've never had a reason to." The older woman hummed. "I would worry about disturbing the magic that keeps this place stable. If you're not sure. I won't pressure you. I know this is the last link you have to your home and I will not risk taking that from you." Trixy walked over to her and held her hand, a tightness in her throat and tears in her eyes. "Thank you", she whispered and the two women share a look of understanding.

Trishanna squeaked as she read, and both her mates, as well as everyone else, turned to her. "Guys, I think I've found something." She turned the book to show them. On the delicate page, yellowed from age, there was a picture of a pregnant woman wearing a crown and long robes. She turned the book back to read, "The queen spoke frequently to her pup, the one destined to unite the realms and bring peace to all. Legends say that the child will speak before its first breath, and this is just one of many signs of their coming."
