It seemed that something eerie had entered the zoo, as the animals, deeply asleep, suddenly stirred, sensing something. Tang Ye, advancing forward, suddenly halted and turned to look down at the ostrich, frowning deeply. He had felt something off ever since he entered; it was one thing for humans to adhere to the rules, given they are creatures of intelligence aware of dangers to avoid.
But to expect these animals to follow rules seemed rather unlikely. However, Tang Ye noticed that upon his entry all the animals in the zoo were like humans, deep in slumber. The ostrich near him seemed awake but appeared held down by an invisible hand, its eyes squeezed shut, forcibly made to comply with the rules.
On the white wall nearby, with a signboard hung, there was a humanoid graffiti seemingly drawn at random by a child. Tang Ye wasn't sure if he had seen it during the day; perhaps he had, but maybe not?
