Grayson sits on a log before a campfire in his Knights of Astellan clothing and armor. He's writing with a quill in a journal. After he finishes writing on a page, he closes the journal and sighs.
"This mission's almost over," he says to himself wearily. He lies down on the log and closes his eyes.
Rocks on the ground begin to gather and build a wide floating circle. A golden-brown light appears inside the circle, and Hasan jumps out and falls onto the ground. The stones then fall and crumble, and Hasan quickly stands. He looks around and sees Grayson on the log. Hasan sighs disappointedly.
"This isn't the castle," Hasan grumbled. He walks over to Grayson, who is still lying on the log, and shakes Grayson's shoulder. "Gray, wake up," Hasan shouted. Grayson opened his eyes, shot up, and stood in front of Hasan.
"Gray, I need you to take me to the capitol, right now," he asserts. Grayson smiles, looks around slowly, then focuses on Hasan and chuckles. "What the hell are you wearing?" He asks, completely ignoring what Hasan said. Hasan's forehead furrowed, and he looks to the side. "What the Prince of Gigantios wears. Now take me to the Queen," Hasan states firmly. Grayson laughs. "You give demands to the Prince of Zaharia? Now I-" Hasan cuts him off, "I'm asking my friend to take me to Astellan's capital. My kingdom has been attacked, and I don't know if my parents are alive or not," Hasan quavers. Grayson's face turned into a serious expression.
"Okay. We can leave now; this mission can wait," he says, then begins to gather his things. "Wait. A mission?" Hasan asks. "Yes," Grayson responds while getting his belongings. "Queen Sylvie sent me to learn all I can about the Koroshi. I'm almost done; I just have to find out one more thing," he states.
The wind howls, grabbing Grayson and Hasan's attention. A giant stone arrow appears in the sky, shoots down to the ground, crumbles, and forms words. Grayson and Hasan's faces turn to fear.
"The Koroshi has declared war against the Ten Great realms," the message says. "The Koroshi is seriously going this far?! Yuki Haido thinks nine human sorcerers could wage war against all the Great Realms," Hasan exclaims. Grayson turns to Hasan slowly in fear. "They're not alone. They belong to a dark guild called Black Mamba, which has over four hundred members. Black Mamba is partnered up with two dark guilds with the same number of members. I've also found a lead about something else. Something bigger. I think we should assume they have the power to go against at least five of the Great Realms." Grayson shuddered.
Hasan blinks with uncertainty and then closes his eyes. Seconds later, he sighs and then opens them.
"I'll help you get the last bit of information you need. Then we'll head for Astellan."
~At the royal castle of Magicae, in the giant council meeting room~
Mikalae's spirit stands before the Dragon King in Dark Realm. He dreamt there using the Dream Walker spell, which allows him to dream his spirit to any place in the world or to dream his spirit into another world. The Dragon King perches down on him from a rock high above Mikalae.
"Why have you come here, young dreamer? Are you hoping we'll catch up, and I'll tell you about my plans?" He grins mischievously. "Something of that nature," Mikalae responds. "Well, well. You're quite amusing, young dreamer. And your power... it has grown significantly. Very well, what do you wish to know?" The Dragon King attested.
"I know you weren't born a dragon and have been around for more than four hundred years. What I don't know-" The Dragon King guffawed, which cut Mike off. "What records are you looking at? I've been alive since before Queen Daeverana's reign, a little over nine hundred seventy-five years ago," The Dragon King states.
Everyone in the council room becomes shocked by learning this from looking at Jivan's spell.
Mikalae inhales deeply, keeping a calm composure. "What I don't know is your name and your magic. Tell me, Dragon King," Mikalae commands. Dragon King chuckles. "First, you must answer my question. Who are your parents?"
Mikalae's face turned into an annoyed expression. "The people who took me in are the twelfth King Eris and his husband, Henry," Mikalae responds. Dragon King tilts his head. "That... explains it all," Dragon King then begins laughing frantically for a few moments. Mikalae looks around awkwardly and gives a secondhand embarrassment expression. Mai, Quwe, and Henry burst out giggling for a moment until Eris looks at them.
"So, you're Elaine's grandchild...her child," Dragon King quietly disclosed. Mike then becomes confused and walks closer. "Wait, you know my mother?"
"I know her mother. Elaine Arealis, my strongest adversary second to... no, equal to, if not stronger than the first nymph, Sylvie. Not only was she powerful, but her entire clan was as well. Honestly, I feared all the Arealisans, so I wiped them out. But my fear of the clan is not why I destroyed it, it was because they knew too much and my fear of an old prophecy coming true. Back in the old days, there were many myths about a race of entities we called the Deusrians. The Deusrians were a race of powerful entities that claimed and lived on Magia Terra eons ago, since the BPC period. However, over 13,018 years ago, they died fighting seven devils from the planet Volodia. This story and many others like it became known as the Fall of the Primis," Dragon King shares.
"I know this story. But what do dead gods have to do with anything?!" Mikalae yells, enraged. Dragon King lets out a small chuckle. "The Six of Nemiru left a prophecy that stated if the closest descendants of Siure and Rakia were to procreate, the entities would reincarnate. Or rather be rebirthed."
Rakia(rah-kia) and Siure(sire-ay) are the two main 'Deusrian' entities out of the three that created the fairies with the help of the Sacred Tree. The Six of Nemiru are the children of an ancient time beast that roamed the planet Deusria. Together, they accurately prophesized events for and about the entities. They also prophesied about disaster, wars, warriors of prophecy, and the new eras.
"It turns out the Arealis clan is closest to the goddess Rakia, and the Mediocris clan is closest to the god Siure. I had to ensure that the Arealisans were wiped out so that nothing could happen. And that's also why I kidnapped Elaine's firstborn, Daeverana ll. But it seems like Elaine birthed more children for it to be the thirteenth generation of you aristocrats. I'm literally standing before Daeverana's child, Elaine's grandchild and that's enough information for me to exterminate you," Dragon King seriously denounced. Mike jumps.
"Whaaat?" Mike asks sarcastically, smirking. "I would have liked to have you become an adversary for me in my war. I have a feeling you'd give me a fight like your grandmother. Senseless feelings, they are," the Dragon King blustered. Mike smirked. "Well then, better luck next time," Mikalae's spirit fades into a purple mist.
Mikalae awakes in the giant council room, and Jivan's spell disappears. Everyone stays quiet for a moment, taking in what happened.
"Ugh," Mai sassily began, "he never answered the question!" "No, but he did give us information, willingly too. What's his game?" Jubi wondered. Rhenen scoffs, "He's an ancient lunatic! Who knows what game he's playing?" "Or what he is willing to do to win?" Deros quickly chimes in. "Daeverana... lived?" Mallock asks himself, eyes wide. Kinten gasps. "That's right... Queen Elaine's first-born lived and birthed children. It must've been fate that the kings crossed paths with them in the Sleeping Forest," Kinten stated. "So that means they have Arealisan blood?" Mabel asked. "If the princess and the princes are truly of the Areails and Mediocris, they can be targeted by the Dragon King," says Jesse. "What?!" Rhenen exclaims.
The council and the parliament talk loudly over each other while the kings, Quweiene, Mikalae, and Jivan, sit silently. Jivan then looks at Mikalae, and his pupil changes to pink. He quietly gasps and shifts to his father, causing his eyes to revert to their normal color. While reading Mikalae's mind, he accidentally read his father's mind as well. Mikalae widens his eyes and inhales deeply.
"Enough!" Mikalae bellows and everyone shuts their mouths. "We've come here to discuss the information we shared on the Dragon King and his acolytes and how to prepare for an upcoming war. If my siblings and I are truly of the Mediocris, then so be it. If we are the last of the Arealis clan, then so be it," Prince Mikalae maintained as he addressed. "That is not the most important concern right now. We already have the plan with the DR Squad, but Magicae's government needs to agree and announce our next move. They've attacked my sister, and they're coming to attack the Royal Capital next. That is our concern," Mikalae stated. Eris sighs.
"Since the moment I met you three, I knew you all had Mediocris blood in you. And when Jessicaria started doing light magic, my wonders on whether you all were also of the Arealis were confirmed. Victordae's white hair with blonde streaks, Mikalae's dirty blonde hair, and Jessicaria has completely blonde hair. The Arealis bloodline is more dominant in her blood, she is a pureblood Arealis. All of them are, however, she is the only one who can use light magic. But as Mikalae said, this is war, we mustn't let this disconcert us. We can utilize what the Dragon King told us in stages further in the war. But for now, tell us what happened, Jesse," Eris enunciates.
Jesse nods, and Eris takes a sharp turn toward Jivan. Jivan spoke with Eris in his mind. Jesse points his middle and index fingers out, thumbs up like a gun, and points to King Eris. A pink magic light shoots out of his fingertips and hits Eris's forehead. Jesse then quickly shoots at everyone else's foreheads. "There, I shared my information and the rest of King Eris's," Jesse declared. Mai gasps.
"Yuki Haido? I've met and befriended her long ago," Mai stated. "And Armani and Quin, I've encountered them in battle before. I never would've guessed they were slayers. I suspected they were fairies of the Lavileon and Ventia clan simply suppressing their fairy forms," Mallock shares. Eris squints his eyes in worry. "Haido... The Haido clan was a powerful human clan that practiced sorcery through staff magic during the Guild Age. They later learned slayer magic from the Great Shadow and Ash dragons. My father, however, had their clan imprisoned and stripped of their magic, permanently stopping them from using sorcery and witchcraft. But two escaped Yuki and her younger brother Yuan. It makes complete sense that other slayers would join them. The Haido name holds great power. I know what we must do," Eris decided. He then takes a stand.
"We will call on the S.R.I.A Force to take action. They will gather information on the Koroshi's base of operations, their military body count, and their strategies. We will not let the Haidos and their associates bring about chaos and bloodshed. Not without a fight. Mai and Mallock, I want you two to work with the S.R.I.A Force, since you too have already had encounters with members of the Koroshi, you can help them with a lead. Deros, I need you to gather our armies at the Kinzoku military compound. Make sure we have rations, sturdy weapons, and backups for the soldiers. War could break out in a matter of days; we need to be ready. Jesse don't go too far. I need to speak with you about the war room. It is...outdated. Everyone else, prepare for the ball. After I inform the aristocrat clans about the war and our plans, I will tell the entire realm. This meeting is adjourned," Eris states and sits.
Everyone else gets up and walks out of the giant meeting room. Right before Kinten and Rhenen leave the room, the door closes. "Lord Kinten, Lord Rhenen, a word?" Eris demands quietly. Kinten and Rhenen turn cautiously and nod.
In the castle garden, Quain lies on the bench with his eyes closed, waiting for his sister's return from her meeting. He hears rustling from tree branches and shoots up. "Is someone there? Try something funny, and I can turn into a beast and end you," he yells. "I'm well aware of a Kipo's magic, Quain Silvre Kipo," Sacred Tree said after appearing from the shadows of the tree in the garden. "Who are you? How do you know my name?" Quain questioned. "I am Sacred, the spirit that lives in the Sacred Tree. You know, the tree that gives magic to fairies and pretty much this whole planet. The tree that-" Quain cuts him off, annoyed. "Yes, I know the history of the Sacred Tree. And you, my sister, told me about her other squadmates. She told me how you never showed yourself to her. So, if you're speaking to me, you must need something from me," Quain says as he sits back down on the bench. Sacred smirked.
"Very clever. You're acquainted with Prince Mikalae, are you not?" Sacred queries. Quain scoffs. "Yeah, that imposter. I can't put my finger on it, but his traits and magic don't completely match a Mediocris," Quain pondered. "Or maybe he's not a fairy at all. Maybe he is just clouded by darkness and death, attempting to see the light. But he cannot see what he cannot remember," Sacred blabbered. Quain looked confused. Sacred pointed his index finger toward the right side of Quain. Quain looks to his side, and he sees a book on the bench. "The Book of Akimus must find its way to Mikalae," Sacred states. Quain picks up the book and looks at the cover. "This is Ancient Fae. how is he..." Quain looks up and sees that Sacred has vanished. Quain scoffs, and then he turns into a lavender-colored bird and flies away with the book in his talons.
Eris swirls his empty cup of tea with a spoon as he looks at both Kinten and Rhenen. Rhenen sighs. "Your majesty, we don't," "You know," Eris cuts Rhenen off, "when I snuck in and watched your meetings with my father, I observed you. I still do so whenever I encounter you. Not once have you lied or withheld information from me," he stops swirling the spoon and looks at them with a fiery expression of calm anger. "A fool I was to believe in your words," Eris scoffs. His white pupils glow and the entire room shakes as he releases his magic. "How dare you two believe you could lie and think I wouldn't find out?! I've been researching through the oldest libraries in Magicae trying to find out all I can on the Dragon King or the dragon that taught him sorcery. I'm risking my son for our cause! For your plan! And you couldn't tell me his damn name!" Eris bellows and thunder booms loudly. His eyes stop glowing, the room stops shaking; he's concealing his magic.
"Tell me his name," Eris says firmly. "Your majesty, we apologize, but we did not tell you for a good reason," Kinten pleaded. "I don't care," Eris deadpanned. But—"I. Don't. Care!" Eris cuts Rhenen off, enraged. Kinten and Rhenen both look at each other with guilt. "The name of the Dragon King is Arcadius Dubre, one of the first slayers and an ancestor of your husband, King Henry," Kinten conceded reluctantly. Eris inhales and exhales deeply. "Very well, see you at the ball," Eris speaks calmly. Kinten and Rhenen look at each other swiftly and with worry. They stand and politely bow. "Your majesty," they say in unison before turning and exiting the council room.
Jessica opens the door to her bedroom. A huge bed is placed in the center of the room by the back walls. There's a couch and a white and gold sofa chair. She sits on the bed beside Aeron and Ash.
"What did the King say?" Ashamoke asks. "He said the three of us will go back to Astellan as soon as the sun rises tomorrow," Jessica responds. She sighs and stands up, smiling. "It's time I get ready for the Aristocrat ball," she says exuberantly. She then opens one of her closets, which is full of dresses, and starts looking through them.
"If I were you, I'd ask my brother for a hand-me-down tonight. You two are my plus ones," she says, smiling. "Seriously?" Aeron exclaims joyously. "Isn't this ball for aristocrats only? I'm confused about how they'll let people like us come. We're not aristocrats, nor are we fairies," Ash asserts. "Right. But Aeron is my boyfriend, although he's already an aristocrat, Mikalae's boo is coming, and if she could Victor's earth boo would be here too. And Ash, you're the leader of the Knights of Astellan and the boyfriend of Princess Zoe. That alone gives you a bucketload of merit," Jessica pats him on the back and cajoled, "Now go, the ball is starting soon. The other clans will be arriving at the castle shortly. Go get ready," Jessica urges them.
Ash and Aeron stand and walk over to the door to leave her room. Ash leaves before Aeron, and just before Aeron crosses the threshold he turns around. "I can't wait to see just how beautiful you'll look, princess," he smiles and then leaves the room, closing the door behind him.
Mikalae walks up a spiral staircase of one of the towers in the castle. He reaches the top and opens a door. It's a room with a bed in the center of the back wall with purple and blue rugs on the floor. It's a bookshelf on the left, and right when you enter, and a desk by a window. It's also an open balcony to this room.
Mikalae walks to his bed and plops on it, face down. He lifts his head with his face scrunched and he pulls something from under his stomach. He then sits up and sees that it's an old tattered black book with violet-colored runes on the front. "The Book of Akimus," he whispers as he reads the runes. He opens the book and reads the first page. "Throughout Magia Terra, Akimus was known as one of the Deusrians who claimed the planet. But throughout the universe, he is known as Darkness of the Unruly Seven Embodiments," Mikalae grunts and drops the book in his lap. He places his hand on his forehead and breathes heavily. "Darkness? Unruly Seven?" He questions himself.
"Mikah," someone calls out from the distance, "you alright?" they ask. Mikalae moves his hand and looks up. It's Jivan standing on the balcony, marvelously dressed in a white Sherwani with pink and gray embroidery on it. "I'm fine. You changed now?" he says. He then gasps and smiles. "Is that..." Mikalae stands. Jivan is holding a spear in his hand. He walks over to Mikalae and hands it over to him.
"This is your Sacred weapon, forged by the Great Fairy Blacksmith Nix. The same person who forged the King's weapon, the Winged Sword of Fairy Kings. Your weapon's shaft is made of Primisian stone, and the blade and heel are made of Dark Primisi Stone. So, if the spear were to break somehow, it'd fix itself with the help of your magic. Let's not forget that it has a bunch of properties that you have yet to find out," Jivan exclaims. Mikalae lets go of the spear, and it stays perfectly still as he hugs Jivan. "Thank you, Jivan," he breaks the hug. "This'll ensure our victory against Dragon King. And with this, I can finally master my grand spell," Mikalae says excitedly. Jivan tries to force a smile before dropping it entirely.
"Mikah... you know we can wait another day or two. We don't have to leave right before your birthday," Jivan attested softly. Mikalae takes a step back and turns his gaze to the wall. "No, we can't wait any longer. Quwe was right... If we're to go against Dragon King, we've got to be prepared," he stated. Jivan scoffs lightly. "I get that, but come on. You're turning sixteen, I don't want you to not celebrate this, Mikah," Jivan said firmly. Mikalae exhales deeply and turns around. He grabs the Book of Akimus off of his bed and places it on his bookshelf. "Mikalae, I'm being serious!" Jivan exclaimed. Mikalae turns around quickly, "I am too!" He yells. "The Koroshi are attacking Pervolsimian Realms. They've attacked my sister; hell, they could be attacking any Kingdom as we speak. And soon they're coming here. They're coming for either Jessica's blood or my own. I will trap Dragon King even if it's the last thing I do!" Mikalae declares. Jivan tilts his head with looks of worry, he then chuckles lightly. He walks over to Mikalae and grabs his hand. "I love how brave you are, Mikah," Jivan cups his face, "We will face him together. But we both gotta promise. Promise that we won't forever rest in the Dark Realm," Jivan expresses. Mikalae gently nods. "I promise."
In the far Northwest area of Magicae, the small city of Arden lies. The home of the Ignaria Clan is Arden's very own city hall. Several carriages were carried by Pegasi, and they flew southeast to the capital. Two people wearing the Koroshi cloaks walk on a road straight out of the city. One of them has gray hair and the cloak completely covers his face. The other has cornrows with a septum nose piercing. The one with cornrows looks up in the sky.
"And there goes Clan Arden," he says. "Clan Ignaria. This city isn't named after the aristocrat clan that owns it like Kipo City," the other corrected. "Arden, Schmarden I don't give one single care. What I do care about is causing some damage," He smirked mischievously. "Armani, remember why we're on this wretched continent again. Master Yuki sent us here for a mission of the utmost importance. No detours," The gray-haired man said. Armani groans. "If she were here, she'd let me rampage. You're always so boring, Quin," Armani exclaimed. "Calm down. Once we get to the capital, you can do all the rampaging you want. You can just leave me to get the blood," Quin assured. Armani smirks deviously, "Deal"
Back in Magicae's Royal Capital, dozens of carriages carried by Peagsi drop off Aristocrats at the Royal Castle Poslanice.
Victor runs up the spiral staircase and bursts open the door. "Finally, it took me ages to find your new room. Mike, hurry. It's time for the Mediocris clan to be introduced. Uh, your... you," Victor is flabbergasted at Mikalae's attire. He wears a black corset with violet embroidery and a black tailcoat that has Oxford blue and white embroidery. "You won't change my mind. I'm wearing this," Mikalae asserts firmly. "It would be a shame if you didn't," Victor responds.
Eris, Henry, Mallock, Jessica, and two Elder Mediocris aristocrats wait behind a closed door for Victor and Mikalae so they can enter the aristocrat ball together as the pureblood house of the Mediocris Clan. First, the plus ones of the aristocrats enter the ball, and then the marginal houses of each aristocrat clan enter one at a time. Then, the pureblood house of the clans enters in the same order. Victordae and Mikalae walk quickly over to them. "Finally, now open the doors," Eris sighs and demands the guards. "Now presenting House Mediocris, the Purebloods of Clan Mediocris," Jesse announces from inside the ballroom. The doors then open, and they all walk in. "Let the ball begin,"
The aristocrats began to dance with their respective partners, some of them went around eating the appetizers, and some made small talk with members from different clans. After an hour of dancing, talking, and eating the small treats and appetizers, the aristocrats join together for dinner. Fairy waiters bring down three giant tables for the aristocrat clans. Everyone sits while the waiters and waitresses bring out food and drinks. Eris clears his throat. "Now may the elders say the prayer of the first fairies," he says.
The elders of each aristocrat clan begin to hum, "Myal deuso mayvero uun and bless ayn fae who first came, Laverdiereth Sacred Tree, " After the elders finish the prayer, the other aristocrats join in, "Laverdiereth Sacred Tree! Laverdiereth Sacred Tree!" They then begin to eat.
"So," one of the elders of the Vaenol clan begins, "Your majesty, there must be a reason for this ball to have happened so quickly. We meet for the ball every eighth year on the tenth day of December. Today is December 8, 13,018 APG. So, I ask again what is-" Hean scoffs, "Shush with your theories. Can't we just eat?" Hean interjected, "That's alright, Hean. His suspicions are, after all, correct," Eris states. Saying that grabs the attention of nearly every aristocrat.
"I've summoned all the clans two days early to alert you all on what has been happening and what will happen. Slayers are working together to free the Dragon King from the Dark Realm. They know what is required to break the seal of portals to the Dark Realm, and they have begun to strike. Three realms in Pervolsima have been conquered. Luckily for us, that means that the Koroshi has yet to acquire the ingredients to break the seal, for all they need is the blood of two princes or princesses from different Great Realms and the blood of a non-heir of Magicae. But the Koroshi are growing stronger, and so the Council and the Parliament are deciding to take action. We're sending out the SRIA Force to gather information on the Koroshi. We also have the intel we received from Astellan. Queen Sylvie has one of the Knights of Astellan out gathering more intel as we speak. She also works with the King of Gigantios and the Queen of Esperia. We've concluded that they wish to start a Second Great War, but we already came up with a plan to deal with the Dragon King," Eris looks at Mikalae and takes a sip from his cup.
"I'm leading a small group of people into the Dark Realm to end the Dragon King for good. Quweiene Kipo, Delia Kinzoku, Mable Intune, and Jivan Vaenol, are all gonna help me capture the Dragon King," Mikalae announced. "Capture? The Dragon King deserves to be dead!" Quain insisted. "The only ones who could have killed him are gone. There is Queen Sylvie, but the Dragon King has grown in power after feeding on the creatures of the Dark Realm. He's unkillable," Jivan calmly clarified. "That's where I come in. I will use the spell Dreamworld to capture him, severely weaken him in my Dream Dimension, then end him," Mikalae loudly affirmed.
Hean scoffs. "You think you're strong enough to face him?!" He bellows. "Mikah has been training nonstop this past year! Last year, his power was D-Class, but now, his power is ranked high-level S-Class!" Jivan exclaims loudly. Hean scoffs again in slightly rolls his eyes. "We're talking about the Dragon King. The same monster who secretly brought about the two-hundred-year Great War. The same one who was strong enough to create the Shattered Lands, strong enough to annihilate the most powerful clan in the entire world! And he's gotten stronger?" Hean retorts. King Eris inhales deeply and Jessicaria and Victordae look at each other. "You think one year of training would be enough to fight someone who has way more experience than you? Bullshit," Hean concludes fiercely and some aristocrats gasp.
Mikalae sits up in his chair. "If you want me to show you, I'm more than capable of handling myself, that's not a problem," he confidently maintained. "Please do," an elder from the Aquaeum clan spoke. Mikalae chuckles. He then looks at Eris and Eris nods giving Mike his approval. Mikalae slowly turns to look at Hean with a smirk. He then snaps his fingers and sits back, folding his arms. A few seconds pass by.
Hean slams his fist on the table, "Is this a jok-" Suddenly all the tables are magically lunged up and vanish into the starry night which should have been the ceiling. The room has turned into a forest and the ground shakes violently as the aristocrats scatter. Giant claws come up, breaking a hole into the ground and the monster pulls itself up. It's a giant Kitsune. The Kitsune's tails move rampantly and cause chaos. "Mother Kitsune?! How are you-" Mother Kitsune roars at Hean and he gets slammed into the wall with great pressure, creating cracks in the wall. Mother Kitsune then looks up and roars. Her tails then get in position and start to form a giant fireball spell. Hean falls to the ground and begins to breathe heavily, he's panicking. More and more fire is added to the fireball until suddenly Mother Kitsune stops roaring. The spell is then fired at Hean. He covers his face with his hands and wails, and then a loud finger snap echoes.
He moves his hands and sees, that the ballroom is back, however, the tables are floating up at the ceiling. Mikalae's wings gently carry him back down to the ground and Hean looks up angrily at him.
"Who would've thought Mother Kitsune would be your biggest fear? Here I was thinking it was the Arcane Dragon," Mikalae chuckles as he finally reaches the ground. Hean is taken aback as he fixes his composure but keeps silent. The tables come back down from the ceiling and the food and chairs magically reappear. Mikalae's expression becomes stern before a black spiral appears in the center of his forehead and his eyes glow. A wave of darkness then is released from him as a black magic aura appears around him. The floor below him begins to crack as well. He looks at all the aristocrats and then returns his focus on Hean.
"Underestimate me all you want, but whether you believe it or not I am ready. My plan will not fail, the Dark Realm squad, and I will not fail," Mikalae asserts. The spiral mark disappears, his eyes stop glowing and the aura around him vanishes. Mikalae turns. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have business to attend to," he huffed before he began to walk towards the door.
"Prince Mikalae," Eris calls out, "Do you remember the other predicament we must discuss?" Eris queries. Mikalae sighs and then snaps his finger. He vanishes into a purple smoke and reappears in his chair beside Jivan with his eyes closed. Eris then stood in front of his chair as everyone settled down.
"Today, we have learned something paramount to the entire kingdom. News about the Arealis Clan," he announces. The aristocrats' gasps scatter and echo throughout the ballroom. "What news would you have for us? The Arealisans have been gone for over two hundred years. The Dragon King killed Queen Elaine's only offspring with the ability to use light magic," an elder of the Kinzoku clan exclaims. Eris chuckles, "Yeah, uh, 'killed' isn't the exact word to use for that. Daverana ll was--" "Enough," Victordae cuts Eris off. Nearly everyone looks at him, even Mikalae opens his eyes and listens in. "I have a feeling I know where this is leading," Victor says hesitantly. He looks at Jessica worriedly. "Jessicaria, do you wanna do the honors?" he asks her. Jessica nods.
"King Eris we apologize for keeping the truth hidden for so long. Do not blame Mike, it is mine and Victor's wrongdoing," Jessica sighs and grabs Aeron's hand tightly before she lets go and raises her head. "Victordae, Mikalae, and I are the children of Mikah Arealis and Daverana ll. We are possibly the last members of the Great Arealis Clan," she announces.
