"What's the matter?" Lu Jing asked groggily.
The man hastily reached out to pat the woman's back, soothing her with great tenderness:
"It's nothing, an emergency assembly."
Huh?
"Has something happened again?"

"No, it's a live-fire exercise, wife. I might be very busy these next few days and won't be able to come home to be with you."

"Where are you guys going for the live-fire exercise?" she asked.
It was just genuine concern.
