Anxin Chen had a pile of calls to return, and after speaking with Shen Shiyu, she went back to her room to plug in her charger and return the calls.
Shen Shiyu went to the kitchen and quickly prepared breakfast for her. He had to work today, and since Anxin Chen was still on the phone in her room, he left without saying goodbye.
After hanging up from Wanling Jiang's call, Anxin Chen, with her stomach growling with hunger, finally put her phone down and left her bedroom.
On the dining table, there was a fried egg sandwich and a cup of milk.
Just as Anxin Chen picked up the cup of milk, she saw a note left by Shen Shiyu on the table,
"Warm the milk before drinking."
She paused, holding the cup as she walked to the microwave and quickly warmed the milk.
Then she picked up the sandwich and stuffed it into her mouth, quickly filling her stomach in just a few bites.
Feeling somewhat better, Anxin Chen hadn't even cleared the dishes when she heard the bedroom phone ringing again.
