Caroline Edwin opened the car door for Doreen and her mother to get in.
She opened the trunk, took out a first aid kit, and gently disinfected the wound with a cotton swab dipped in disinfectant, her movements soft and soothing, not hurting at all.
Although she didn't remove her mask, the eyes that showed were bright and spirited, giving off an ethereal vibe that made it hard not to feel a fondness upon looking into them.
After Caroline Edwin had wiped and disinfected Doreen's wound, she wrapped it with gauze and, once everything was taken care of, put the tools back into the first aid kit.
Doreen felt her injured arm ease significantly, no longer feeling as painful.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome."
Caroline's expression remained calm.
Even though she said that, Doreen and her mother kept thanking her profusely, expressing their gratitude.
Caroline glanced at the time, then said aloud, "Maltz, you take the co-pilot, let me drive."
