"No," I begged, my mind returning to the Void as Jushion's essence pulled me toward it.
I understood where he'd come from.
He was a creation of the Void, which was different from Creation and Destruction. I wasn't sure how to explain it, but there was a difference. Yet, Jushion was a creature that had attached itself to my essence and followed me like a curse. I wanted to know if the Void created it with that in mind, but our paths were intertwined from the beginning. That was more than I could stand, especially since it meant there was a chance we could never break that connection.
No. That couldn't be the only way.
'You have to keep looking,' Barakael urged, pushing me toward the monster who destroyed my life. 'You have to understand.'
'NO!' I screamed but was powerless to stop the pull.
